Well done on the exam passes.
Glad you had a good day out with DS.
Not much happening here, still skint, no money for diesel so had to walk the kids to school this week which is not a bad thing. Going away next weekend to my Uncles with my mum and dad so looking forward to that.
Still looking for a job, applied for a Weekend Library Assistant, closing date was 28th but have heard nothing so assuming I won't even be getting an interview. Think having not worked for 10 years is against me, plus there are so many people applying for one job. Not sure what to do about the debts, am having to rob Peter to pay Paul, not sure what the solution is.
OH should be getting £10k from his mum (hopefully by the end of this month), it is from about 7 years ago when he lent her £9k from his credit card (long story).
Hope you have a good evening and a nice weekend (supposed to be free listing on Ebay again, think it is invites so hopefully I will get one again).

Hello CAFC and TooMuch!!!! Remember me!
I was browsing through some diaries earlier on and stumbled onto this. Was thrilled to see you both, although I wish both of you weren't still in debt.
As you can see by sig I am also still in debt. At a bit of a standstill with it, but am building up house deposit savings. I have a diary but am a bit sporadic with it too!
Am subscribing so I keep you company on your journey CAFC xTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi CMD
Yes I do remember you as well, time has flown by, shame I have not got as far with the debt busting, in fact, am still back to square one after OH had to change jobs and got a job for about £10k less a year. He still works for the same company. Meant we had to use our cards but we have definitely learnt our lessons.
Kids are getting bigger now so want to try and clear some debts before they get too much older, they are 9, 8 and 5.
Hope your little ones are OK. Mine argue so much so am not looking forward to the school holidays.
Wonder what happened to all the other Paper hatters!

I was just thinking "CMD" the other day.... !
Youre right its most definitely a shame that we're all still here, but at least we're all still here, aware of our debts and not hiding from it, although i took a 3 year long hiatus to ignore it!
TMD - the 28th wasnt all that long ago, generally i allow 10 days for paper sifting, and weeding out, then you have to organise when you could interview, and then contact people. Id give it to end of next week xx Fingers crossed for you xxWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Keeping to the positives.
DH and I went on a shopping trip at the weekend as a late birthday present. I didnt find anything I like/was willing to spend money on so came home with 2 £5 dvds and was a bit bummed to not get anything but then also quite pleased with myself that I didnt spend money for the sake of it.
Also our grocery budget for April started this week, £56 spent and a meal plan written up.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hello CAFCGirl, I remember reading your old diaries but I was under a different name. Sorry your still struggling with the debt, I know exactly how your feeling.
I always feel really positive when I haven't got any money and yet when I get paid I get on a right downer. I think it's because the pay is never enough
Hopefully we'll crack it this time.12/04/2019

Thanks for the post Desperate
I'm the same, i have all these big plans for when there's some money (when I dont have any) then the money comes in and its not enough, or I dont have the energy, or I'm stubbornly unwilling to part with it even for the greater good.
Not much has/is changing. This week I'm mostly focusing on DS and our plans for him, and having a sort out of the house. I'm fed up of all the 'things', we've become a bit of a dumping groun and I hate it, so there will be a tip run/freecycle/charity shop/ebay cleanseWealth is not measured by currency0 -
I really need a car boot sale, got lots of stuff to get rid of and hopefully make a few pennies in the process, it's just finding the time.12/04/2019

My dilemma is finding the energy. I can just never be bothered....Wealth is not measured by currency0

Having a mental lapse and not really concentrating.
I need to re-print my offer letters and post them this weekend, please anyone reading this harass me until I get this done!
Got some DIY and general house jobs to do, which will hopefully help me feel a bit more in control if I 'cleanse' the house of the clutter. I've done DS's items/room. Now it's just the rest of the house to go!Wealth is not measured by currency0
