Showered at the gym so I could avoid using the shower at home, now that we're on a water meter and our bill is going up by £114 a year (despite our usage not changing), so thats another positive.
We've also taken to 'if its yellow, let it mellow'
I also was going to go to the shop on the way home from the gym for 'something' to eat. Walked to the shop and kept walking, telling myself I could eat what was at home, so potentially £2-3 'saved' thereWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Happy Days!
Not even 10am and I've made £20 today from doing my mum's ironing.
Will squirrel it away in a pot upstairs, and 'forget' about itWealth is not measured by currency0 -

In an attempt to feel like I've done something productive today.
I've built a spreadsheet to track our spending on gas and electric. We're on key meters here, which actually works better for us because we have to think about having the money to pay it as we go, as opposed to blindly using it, and then having a panic every 3 months when the bill comes in.
So its set into months, divided in weeks 1-4, has a line for gas and one for electric, and is set to calculate the total spend for weeks 1-4 in each month and will highlight if it goes above my monthly budget amount.
I just need to remember to fill it in and keep up to date on it, as with anything! LOL
Decided on Sat/Sun being a cupboard and freezer inventory day, and then we'll need to do some serious meal planning, and once again, stick to it!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
£20 spent on gas and electric
Still feeling a bit bummed out if I'm honest.

Hugs Hun I know it blows that it's gone, but at least it went in something that was needed iyswim xx
And snapI've just added a sheet to my bills spreadsheets for gas and electric as well, we pay £139 for both (was £164 till last month) so I wanted to start and keep a better eye on it, mine doesn't tell me the amount tho, I've got it in months and then weeks, going to read them on Sundays, and I'm just keeping track of kWh at the min xx

well I got over my bummed out mental state.
Had my massage therapy exam on tuesday, passed the practical YAY and just waiting on my theory results (my weaker area), and then wednesday had an awesome day out with DS at a HE group meet. We saved over £11 by going with them, as I got in free (usually £10), and just had to pay for DS, and a workshop we did which was reduced by 50% too and I packed us a lunch but did treat us to an ice cream each since the weather was glorious. He was a champ all day though so thats helped my mood.
Then today I have had and passed my nutritionists certificate, so another woohoo!
Money wise, I've taken my eyes off the ball again, it really is an every day thing, its so much easier to just spend money.
Am determined to make conscious efforts, keep spreadsheet updated and save on food.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
