Yes all miles bookings are refundable (minus the £25 or £30 charge) up to the day before the flight now, so you would not lose your miles if you did have to cancel. I think it was only last year that they changed this to align themselves with BA policy.
thank you - I did read the T&Cs several times and I think because we always book non-refundable fares I just could not process that this could be correct even though it made sense...was sure I was misreading, but then I remembered someone - maybe duchy/penny/stoneman - saying something about reward flights being refundable. This is great to know.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

If anyone reading this thread needs the latest news on the current I-15 closure and diversion near Moapa north of Las Vegas due to the recent flooding, here's links to the official sites for road information:

Hello All, hope you're all well! I haven't been hovering around the Vegas threads for absolutely ages as I find it makes me sad and jealous when I haven't got a trip booked :P
We've been waiting for a Virgin Reward Seat sale that includes Vegas forever - finally yesterday our patience paid off and we booked two flights MAN - LAS for next Summer for miles plus £223 taxes each (including credit card fee!). Soooooo excited already!
I just have one question (sorry if it's already been discussed, I did search before asking though). I know Virgin announced that they were going to start charging if you wanted to pick your seat in advance but their website is a bit vague - some places it mentions the charge but others it says you can book free 60 days in advance. DH has also found some articles that say they never actually went ahead with the charges. So...to those who've flown Virgin since the end of June, do they charge for pre-booking or not? Thanks"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Thanks, DH has finally managed to find out something concrete from their website - apparently you can pick for free 60 days before up to 1st (I think he said) October, they'll issue an update after that. Have read elsewhere that they didn't check if their own IT systems could cope with accepting charges for seat allocations apart from the bulkheads etc that have always been done at the airport. Fingers crossed they decide that it's more trouble than it's worth to start charging!
We've already set reminders in our phones for 60 days before :rotfl:"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Is there any shuttle or other cheap transportation to the Orleans from the strip?0

I think it's open to all but priority to guests. So if there are too many people you could be asked to show your room card.0

Arrived in vegas yesterday. Some housekeeping issues when we checked it. All else good. Weather has cleared up. Spoke to nvh and mrs nvh this afternoon at the pool.
Our road trip was good however lots of driving. Loved the grand canyon, montezuma castle and sedona. A few road closures due to recent weather we had to find another route to oatman. Enjoyed that too!
Did the rio buffet with wine groupon deal last night. Then up to voodoo for one hour ladies drink free 11-12. Vodkas must have been way too strong as I'm feeling a bit delicate now.
Got the washing machine onand going to head out in the car in a while. No booze for me this evening lol.
