Just tried to look on opentable.com. Is anyone actually able to us the .com site? It redirects me to the UK site, even when I click on US again. How annoying!0

OK, OK, I am being kinda cheeky and lazy here, but how does living social work. Tracy and I both have FB accounts. I understand that you accumulate credit that gets added to your TR card to use as cash, but that's about itThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

I think you mean Social Rewards? Living Social is a discount site like Groupon..
You share things on twitter about the CET properties, and also can initially get points for liking the hotels on Facebook and twitter.
The points can then be transferred to Total Rewards, 1000 points equates to $10 I believe.
I have only done it a bit and have just over 1000 - trying to ramp it up a bit for October trip.
Incidentally, is anyone having trouble with videos not playing?0 -

What do you do when alone at McCarran late at night?

I'm not having any trouble with the videos on Social Rewards.
Yes, definitely worth doing if you use facebook and/or twitter. You have to have a certain amount of followers on twitter to use it, but I'm sure there are folk on here who will follow to help, and some of the casinos follow you back anyway. $200 of points each for the year, so we're looking forward to the freebies. Thanks to nvh and pebbles for encouraging us to sign up!
You really need to go on daily to get the most from it, as you get 3 shares per day, plus you can watch videos for points on top of that as and when they are available. I signed up for Instagram but never got around to working out how to use it for Social Rewards.0 -
stoneman - I am not diligent about Social Rewards - sometimes I go on a bit of a spree but I sometimes forget about it for a week or longer...most of the time I spend on the site I am waiting for or on a bus...Sometimes if I am home and bored I will work my way through some YouTube videos...but I have not put in significant effort and and even I have earned nearly $100 in TR credits from it since January.
It's certainly worth trying and see what you think...my hubby who is the MyVegas guy in our house can't seem to get interested whereas I am easily annoyed with MV.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
You have been able to book Le Village buffet on Open Table for about a year. I didn't realise that I hadn't mentioned it on here. Sorry.
We passed the Paris buffet umpteen times in the evening and there was no line so I didn't bother making a reservation for the night we were intending going as I didn't expect a line at around 21.30. Big mistake. It went for miles.
I quickly got on my phone and made a reservation, again using Open Table, for Charlie Palmer Steak and then we hared down there instead.
I made sure we had a reservation when we next planned to go to Le Village, but as it turned out it wouldn't have been necessary.
Lesley, I have an account on opentable.com and I have made reservations while still in the UK. I tried the .com site just now and right enough it diverted to the co.uk site although I haven't had that happen before. I went back to the .com site and clicked on Log In before it diverted and was able to access the .com site. You can create an account from there.0 -
