Anyone on BA2277-BA2276 LGW-LAS between early December and March should check your booking,it looks like the route has been cut over the winter.

Got my email last night :( We've booked our flights last Thursday, a lot earlier than we had intended (wanted to do it when back from our holiday in Aug/Sept), but hubby said we would be silly not to do it now as the price was so good. Normally we're looking at £800 plus flying from Malaga, but Gibraltar being closer, it is our preferred airport. So with a price of £610 each (with BA direct from LGW), we had to book.

Guess who is relieved we now did it, even with the cancelled flight, as the price is now 3 times more from Gib than it was last week!

Only downer is, it is hubby's birthday, thus most of it will be spent in the air :( But either way, another Vegas trip booked! 4 nights at the Mirage and 5 at the Aria :j And I am very excited about celebrating NYE in Vegas!!!

Just tried to look on opentable.com. Is anyone actually able to us the .com site? It redirects me to the UK site, even when I click on US again. How annoying!

    I had the same issue.
I see wammer has suggested logging in.

I got around it by searching for opentable las vegas, it then stays on the opentable.com las vegas page

thanks for that - we have used opentable before but also kept getting kicked over to the UK site when I tried last night and I was really perplexed...but thinking about it we always went to the restaurant's page on opentable before and that still works for me.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Have they offered you an alternative flight?

For anyone else effected, BA have cancelled their winter flights from Gatwick direct to Vegas; heathrow flights are still operating, so BA should be able to accommodate anyone wanting a re-route. If you haven't yet been notified it is worth getting in touch with BA to be ahead of the queue.

Looking at flights for July next year. When is the best sort of time to buy? When they first get released or waiting for the sale? We are probably looking at Virgin as first choice if that makes a difference. Just the only other time we have booked flights direct ourselves to vegas we used airmiles so not sure what to do this time

Yes, we've been booked onto the LHR flight, but arrival is quite late in comparison. Not ideal considering we wanted to get in early as it is hubby's birthday, but alas, such is life. I did call BA to see what alternatives there were as the webpage just showed an error. Not normally a big fan of Indian call centers, and although the girl on the phone had little or no clue, she was nice enough and tried her best to check for a different route. Unfortunately nothing coming up, even if we changed airport from Gibraltar to Malaga. However, we are now contemplating leaving from Madrid, so may just give that a shot... Although it does mean an 8 hour bus journey overnight, it may be worth it if we arrive the night before in Vegas.

I did ask if they could do something special for my husband if he had to celebrate his birthday in the air. She suggested taking a bottle of bubbly from the duty free

This morning I have lots of connects to Instagram, so I think all of the casinos now have hashtag rewards. I've got an instagram account, and it's connected to my Social Rewards so I'm able to get the 25 'connect' points.

Can any tell me though, how on earth do you get the hashtag points? I need this in very simple terms as I don't have a clue how to actually use instagram.

    Many thanks in advance. :)

Lesley - for the hashtag points all you need to do is upload whatever photo they're wanting via the instagram app. Then in the caption for the picture you put in the hashtag they're asking for. So for a picture of Bally's you'd put #BallysVegas. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks for the Social Rewards tip, started up on it this week and aiming for some food (obviously) vouchers for our trip. Hoping we can stock up on some good groupons nearer the time too, it's where we easily spent the most money!

Feel like I just don't have the luck on MyVegas! OH was on a killer streak this last week and got up to 1.5mil chips and earnt about 40k in LP in a few days and I was losing my daily bonus in about 4 spins :o

Off to book our holiday this weekend. It's 10 months away but I'm already excited!
