Interesting...maybe we will consider a trip now, though the cost still puts me off and we have been to the south rim, but it's a lot shorter drive and maybe something to consider for a day out...I would like to see it and see how I think the west rim compares to south for myself but the unpaved road has always put us off completely.

Anyone have any thoughts about the recent changes to terms and conditions on MyVegas?

The Aria buffet rewards now require a room reservation in order to redeem them. If this is rolled out over the other properties we will be stuck with a ton of LPs that we can't use. Needless to say, we are not happy bunnies at the moment.

I've read it as you need to stay at any MGM hotel not just the Aria.Fortunately for us we are staying at the Mirage but they will honor any rewards purchased before the new changes.
I think that they are going to do it to more of the rewards not just this one

Having a bad morning -read about the changes to Myvegas and then did what I've been doing everyday since I booked my seats -checked to see if the seat next to me was still empty and arrrrgh someone has booked it!!
I wouldn't mind there must be 60 + seats left downstairs and they had to pick that one!
Now I will have to play the game at the gate guessing who it's going to be and praying its not someone who is-:
Very large as my OH is massive and I have no space and armrest anyway
Chatty- I can do little conversations but no more.
OH has just informed me if it's a little dolly bird he will kindly swap with me!!!!!!!!:0

We have 3 buffet rewards for Aug. one for the Aria.

I read it like you that you have stay at any MGM property but I cant see anywhere that it says they will honour pre existing purchases.
We are not staying at an MGM property

It's all very interesting, I'm surprised they never did this from the start to be honest... the big problem will be the rewards that sell out quickly, where you don't get chance to view this condition that's hidden on the second page of the redemption. You won't realise till it's too late and you've purchased it (though you can always refund it, it's a waste of time chasing stuff with conditions that you can't see or meet)

I haven't really trusted MyVegas for some time - as long standing players essentially 'bank' more and more LP, I can only ever see it going one way, and the high end rewards people want will become harder and harder to get (ie. I haven't really played at all for a year - i do a binge session where I splurge all my chips, but collecting from the strip occasionally and spinning the wheel every day has meant I've redeemed for our upcoming trip (Monte Carlo Pub + 2 nights @ Aria), and still also have over 300k LP remaining, and 3 million chips but there's nothing else I want)

It's on the myvegas friends page.Lots of people really ranting about it and it says to take a copy of your reward with you because it has the date you booked it on.

The rewards are constantly evaluated, revised and republished based on the needs of their business.

Q:If I already purchased one of these rewards but have not used it yet, will I be required to add a room stay?
A: No, the original terms on your previously purchased reward will be honored. Please bring your printed redemption email confirmation stating the date it was purchased and the original terms when redeeming at the property.

Q:Is this like FREEPLAY where I need to be staying at that particular hotel?
A: No, you can be staying at any MGM property!

Q:Can my room stay be an Mlife offer, comp, or myVEGAS Reward or will it need to be a paid night?
A: Yes, you can use any offer as long as you are staying at a MGM property and are a registered guest on the room reservation.

Q:I’ve heard of players not being able to redeem their reward because they did not book the room, will this happen to my husband and me?
A: No, as long as you both add your names to the room upon check-in. The Mlife agent will validate and confirm this when you redeem your reward.

more importantly, if you're really worried , take a copy of the email. It has the terms and conditions on it, and obviously older reward redemptions of things (such as Aria buffet), won't have that condition on them
