Just returned from Vegas and had a fantastic time fully utilising the offers on Groupon and Living Social. We particularly loved the village buffet at the Paris as we were able to book a table and avoid those lines!
Apologies if the bogof voucher for the rollercoaster has already been posted but these give various options

really? I had no idea you could book tables at any Vegas buffets - though it probably never occurred to me to look into it. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I'm not sure if we will do high roller. I can see how it could be off putting being in a bar pod. So hard to tell without doing it though, isn't it. You might only manage to get one drink, and it might not even be a good drink....and might be crammed with demanding folk who want to drink as much as possible.

Wee bonus on Social Rewards today, they've added The Cromwell, so I'm getting a bit of a points boost right now as there are a load of things that don't require the use of daily shares, and at 15 points each :) Only one video though. Good boost for me though so close to my trip! :T

I was mad at my self for not adding it earlier when I saw it this morning. Good to hear it only launched today

It does read like they have bar pods

REMINDER: Everyday 4-7pm is #OpenBar in one of our bar-pods on the High Roller Vegas!

Personally I would avoid them but that's just me...I understand it might appeal to others...but to us I could just see it being really crowded and people trying to max out the value...I'd rather be in a pod that was a bit calmer...but I am old. :)

I too would avoid it, hope no one is ill or needs the loo

Some of the buffets are now on opentable.com. Don't know how it works though.

Yes I had a groupon voucher but used opentable to make my reservation and entered via the VIP entrance - very civilised!

We visited Reno/North Lake Tahoe in early April this year. We didn't have a problem with the weather at that time, although friends of ours went the following week and had to turn back on the way back to Vegas due to ice and hail. They may have driven back thought Yosemite though, we just drove back the same way apart from a little detour to Virginia City.

We drove US 95/US50/US 95 both ways. It was a pretty boring drive, but we enjoyed it once we got there.

Thanks Pebbles. I think we're moving away from the idea of a Tahoe road trip this time around - we don't want to get into a situation like your friend.

Flying to Reno will probably be the better option, we looked at this last year and decided against the long drive

The drive was the part of the attraction tbh. We did a two week drive around New England last year and are now a bit addicted! Flying is definitely a good idea for any future Tahoe trips though :)
