This is not correct. Mon Ami Gabi and the Eiffel Tower restaurants are owned by third parties and are not Total Rewards properties. You need to go to the TR desk and get a voucher for the amount of credits you want to use. If you do not use them all they are refunded to your account.
Ahh ok, sorry to OP. Our experience was using TR points at Caesars buffet and at PF Changs. Wasn't aware MAG was 3rd party.0 -
I did phone them, and they did offer a different route. It was via Newark, but would mean leaving home about 2am...and the layover was 5 1/2 hours.....so I declined it.
Out of interest,if our connection is missed, and we have to stay in Washington overnight, does anyone know who foots the bill for taxis and hotel rooms.I have been told the next flight to Vegas would be the following morning,I assumed the airline would have to cover costs.Or is this wishful thinking on my part.
Have only ever missed a connection once, earlier this year to Florida, but we were put on the next flight a couple of hours later in first class. That one worked out fine,I would hope any issues cause by the airline would mean they do whatever necessary to fix them.
Or as I say,am I kidding myself.
Depends on why you miss the flight. If it is weather or ATC delays you pay, if it is the plane going technical....they book you a hotel of their choice and give you a voucher. Taxis would not be involved usually as most airport hotels have free shuttles. If the hotel they have booked you in has no shuttle or stops running at night and you arrive that late they will give you a voucher for the taxi too.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
I'm not sure really. I have seen the with a drink deals too but we aren't fussed about the drink (we're happy with free drinks from the cocktail waitress) so haven't done the comparison. Looking back at emails it looks like there was one for $20 daytime/$35 evening on Living Social with one drink...so for 2 would be $40/$70.
With the BOGOF for two it would be $21.95/$36.95 without the drink but including the service fee...so for us the BOGOF would be better by a long way.
I don't know the standard price to be honest - I had remembered someone quoting prices a while back when it was first opening and it was expensive. I wonder if they have gone down a bit, or as you say just quite reasonable on 2/1 now.
I must admit, I'm not good with heights so I doubt I'll go on it. I have been up Burj Khalifa, but I think that's different from being on something moving....I've never been keen to go on a big wheel. :eek:0 -
Hubby just saw a $24.95 open bar deal on High Roller. Am I just being Scottish or is that actually quite good? Problem is I'm just not sure if I'm too feart to go on it :rotfl:0

my hubby isn't a huge fan of heights but is fine with something like this...his mum was terrified about going on the London Eye with us but did it and in the end she really enjoyed it...it moves so slowly you don't really perceive the movement - at least if it's like the London Eye.
I would want to see some reviews of the open bar thing - if it's as good as it sounds it is or if they pack a lot of people in with only one or two bartenders? It could be a good deal for people wanting to go during the day but I would be worried it would just be quite crowded (but I hate crowds)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Just had our November flights changed by United Airlines.
We are flying via Dulles Washington, and had a 4 hour ( little bit longer than usual) layover. They have now changed to 90 minutes.....think that's a bit optimistic. We have been through Dulles twice before with them, and managed ok,but with the extra security checks I personally don't think it can be done in 90minutes.....not to happy.
If it is booked as one journey, they will look after you if you are delayed through a late arriving plane or delays at the airport.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The thing with the High Roller is that a) you cannot take your own drinks with you (no bottle water, no nothing) and b) drinks are expensive in the bar! I would think the deal is good if you plan on having a few drinks before going up, it is an ok area to hang about for a bit, but we found the waiters quite rude, and it does get quite crowded. You can also go back to the bar after your trip of you so want.0 -
Also on social rewards have about 50 dollars worth but not staying at Caesars property (staying at Vdara) DO I just go up to total rewards desk and ask to swap the 5000 reward credits for say Mon Ami Gabi voucher/coupon?
Not sure if already mentioned, but if you are staying at Vdara, you cannot use the Aria FP voucher. You have to stay at the Aria itself, unlike MGM/Signature and MB/ Delano0 -

I am scared of heights.
I did the London Eye and spent the whole time in the middle of the pod (scared). I wont be doing the High Roller
Weirdly I was able to stand on the glass floor at the top of the Spinnaker tower.0 -
We are landing into LAX and driving up to San Francisco and then heading to Vegas. What are peoples opinions on driving to Vegas or is it rather tedious and better off flying to Vegas?
Bearing in mind when we went in 2012, it was a "west coast" rather than a "Vegas" holiday, We flew to and from LAX, and spent 1 night in LA, then 1, at Morro Bay, 1 in Monterrey, then spent 3 nights in San Francisco, followed by 2 nights in Yosemite, then 2 nights in Kings Canyon, then a long drive to Laughlin, then on to 3 nights in Vegas, before 1 night in Palm Springs than back to LA.
I'd recommend all of that, but like I say this was a "west coast" rather than "Vegas" holiday......0
