Anyone booked using lowcostusa.com recently. Found a good deal on a queen executive suite in the MGM but you have to call them to book.

Ive been trying for the last couple hours and all i get is an engaged tone :(
  • My Fiance and I are Vegas newbies going at the end of September for 12 nights, staying at the Flamingo and Cosmopolitan. We are getting married while we are out there.

We are hiring a car as we are planning to go to Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon and some other places we haven't yet decided. We found this site which gives us a really good prices for our stay for a mustang. Has anyone used this company? Or can anyone tell me if we will need to buy extra insurance? I've read that UK companies include it but not 100%.

Thanks and I look forward to joining in more with the discussion!

    Your site includes

    Zero Excess Insurance
    C.D.W. Deductible: Approx. USD 0.00.
Theft Insurance Deductible: Approx. USD 0.00.
Supplemental Liability Insurance: Included in rates .

which is what I would look for in a rental in the USA.

This makes me want to go to Las Vegas, time to save up!
  • Froggitt Thanks for that - never hired a car abroad before so wasn't really sure what it all meant!

Yeah its a minefield. And you will still be offered a bunch more insurances when you pick up e.g. breakdown insurance, windscreen insurance, tyre insurance, lost keys insurance etc etc.

But UK sites generally give you a sort of "zero excess fully comp" insurance package with the carhire.

They had a massive powercut managed to get though in the end.

All booked for my jolly's in May. Off on the 22nd May for 3 nights at TI , booked via my host some comp and discounted rates. As its memorial weekend rates are high so very happy with the £160 for 3 nights per room.

Then 4 nights in MGM queen executive suite for £278 inc resort fee via lowcostusa. Nothing comes close to there price for this room!

And there are 6 of us going (all blokes):beer: _party_

    edited my post.....

Safe to say, Auto-Europe looks on par with Netflights.com
    in terms of choice
ie: picking a car with full insurance, no excess, LIS, etc etc etc
    or
picking a car with the above and choosing the tank of fuel/additional drivers too..
    Cool :):)

Do notice they list the Camero SS (V8 Muscle) from Hertz (car I booked) too, 1 week at £400, or £488 to include fuel and extra driver.... Handy booking mind :)
My hertz rates are £337 for 1 week, or £387 to include fuel & extra driver.

Looked on Hertz and the price for our dates/car is more than double AutoEurope's! Good to know that the insurance is fine booking through them. Better not tell the OH that there is a Camero to hire though :rotfl:

Hertz is all about knowing the CDP codes ! :D
Like, up until the 26th Jan, enter this CDP code on hertz.co.uk and you get a discount......
ie: The camero SS comes down from £400 to £337 using that code....
    CDP: 783530
