We are currently at the Mirage courtesy of MyVegas. At check in we were upgraded free to a suite on the 28th floor. Very nice, separate elevators for the suite floors and a great view south where we can see the Bellagio fountains and even the dolphins in the Secret Garden.

Sounds nice, did you just ask if they can upgrade you and they did?

Secretmachines you did good effort to share the nice info of Martin’s travel insurance page and the useful tips of Las Vegas visits that which types of things do I carry with me during my visit. I did a plan to go in Las Vegas and see the attractions with your helpful tips.

    well done team, good effort!

I've always thought The Mirage would be nice to stay at, but never hear of many people that do? Anyone here a Mirage regular? The suites sound nice :) Have a fab time Wammer!

Not a regular but have stayed there and yes it is nice, but I guess nice is subjective.

The rooms there are better than Basic rooms at many of the strip hotels but are not as good as the basic at Venetian etc.

The hotel itself does have a good vibe IMO

I just said we were hoping for a nice room as it was my birthday a couple of days ago, which he could see from my passport, and was chatty with the check in clerk. I didn't actually ask for an upgrade.

As we haven't stayed at the Mirage before we have nothing to compare the room to. The suite at the MGM is much bigger and better as they have recently been refurbished.

We have just been to Cravings buffet and they have unlimited beer and wine, even at breakfast!

If booked to third party agent and paid in full are airmiles still earned?

I have only ever accrued Flying Club Miles by booking directly with Virgin.
Maybe somebody else has been more successful.

Ah, the Mirage, what fond memories I have of a demoralising end of holiday experience ;)

Glad to see you got upgraded - we couldn't get anything out of them... struggled to get a downgrade to be honest. Anything to get away from that darn lift "humming" past the room all night long :(

Has any one stayed at the bellagio & know if their rooms in our price range are decent? (or if they have rooms in our price range :rotfl:)

it has been ages since our one night at Bellagio but in my opinion unless you get a fountain view there are better options for the same money...and I'd rather have a terrace room at Cosmo with a view of the fountains than a Bellagio fountain view room too...at Cosmo I can stand or sit on the terrace and watch the fountains (though depending on how high may not be able to hear the music). At Bellagio I have to watch out the window (but I can hear the music on the telly, at least)...or from the street which I can do if not staying there.

Our one night was nice, but we've preferred Wynn, Encore and Cosmo...and Caesars...and I suspect we would prefer Venetian and Palazzo...Bellagio is a lovely property, no doubt...I just feel it's a bit meh compared to other options for the same sort of price. Others would wholeheartedly disagree with me.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

We have stayed at the Bellagio 3 times and have also stayed at the Mirage twice with our next trip in August staying at the Mirage. We loved the Bellagio but then with all the work going on at Bills/Flamingo decided to move down to the Mirage and to be honest we love it there. It has got a really nice vibe about it and we love Rhumbar and BLT.Also for me personally I love it's positioning on the strip,I'm right next to Forum shops,Fashion show mall and across the road from Casino Royale for those $1 daiquiris!!!!
