More sewing here - made another storage bag - you can see the different base in the photo. Then I made two drawstring bags for storage of yarn in my new craft room. I have another three bags - wip at the moment.
The floral fabric was from IKea - their faux Cath Kidson range. I ran out of the pink/grey duvet fabric I used for the drawstring bags. I found some pink fabric in my stash to use for the three wip bags. I added a photo of my grotty basket that was storage before I sewed these bags. Thanks for this thread - really encouraging me to craft.

    Updating my list!

    3. Buttons, needles & ribbons cross stitch jar labels - Finished

    8. Starry, Starry Night cross stitch (Will be a summer project due to dark colours used)

Heather cardigan finished yesterday and started the baby cardigan. I love baby knits, did both fronts in a couple of hours. DH has now requested a wooly hat so might add that to the list and found an old odd-pins pattern in charity shop so might use up a bag of chunky yarn on a holey jumper for me. Just need to get a 20mm needle.

welcome to the new members of the group.
i didnt have the puter on over the weekend so have just been looking at all the lovely photos that have been posted and getting ideas and inspiration from everyones lists.
mostly spent the weekend crafting, all the decoupage is now complete on the stocking and it just needs the back sewing on to finish it.
also knitted a few hedgehogs, i post them off flatpack to lady lady who lives near a hedgie rescue centre shes sews stuffs and adds features and the centre sell them to raise a few pennies.
hoping to get the stocking completed this week so i can go back to doing some cross stitch

Thanks Flower!=) As I'm still a Newbie, I'm not yet allowed to post links and photos, so I can't show where I am with things on-forum.

No, the sampler isn't my own design, it's one by an American company called Cross'n'Patch. I'm nothing like experienced (or talented) enough to design anything like that!:o

still got to sew the back on so its not quite finished, i think i'll do that in different sections to match the colours of felt im sewing on the front so basically blue green and gold. it will look a bit odd fromthe back in different colour sections but think it will look better that than the front being contrasting in some and matching in others.
i think Dorothy was the fiddliest character with all the back stitch squares on her dress and the faffy hair to sew in then plait.

Florenceem Your storage solutions are lovely and I am really envious of your craft room

mrsmp can't wait to see the final finished stocking. What a lot of work has gone into it.

I finished my first project of 2014.

It's a long standing UFO which needed a lot of back stitch (which I dislike) but I'm pleased with it now it is finished.
The photo is awful and really shows up the creases - sorry.

I have nearly finished project #2 which is another Cross stitch piece which I started at the beginning of January. I will then wash and press both pieces before taking them to be framed.

I haven't done a list of 2014 projects because I always change my mind during the year. Last year I completed about half of my 2013 list although I did do more than 13 projects in total. So I am keeping an open mind this year.

I do intend finishing more UFOs and also using up some of my stash though I can't promise I won't be tempted by new delights.......

FoS I adore the cross stitch - I am always drawn in by big pieces like this but worry that I haven't the dedication (or patience) to stick to them..
