Have added 3 very ordinary ('vanilla') Christmas cards to flickr. Am well pleased because while I was raking through my boxes I found a phone cable that I needed. :) I find I am short of card blanks but apart from this have plenty to make if the weather turns bad.

I love your cards and isn't it great when you find something that sent missing but you know you still have

Thank you FoS, yes great to find a missing piece. :) Am wondering if I can make flowers for a dolls house 1:12 scale out of a crumpled hair flower / ornament - it has lovely red fabric petals.

I have a few plans for the weekend craft wise - apart from one small mending project I am planning to focus on,

    1. Cutting leather for the pockets for the advent calender. It won't finish a project, but it will make other aspects of it quicker...

    2. I am going to make up at least two of the pockets.

    3. Make a pin cushion

    4. Finish at least cutting the fabric for the bird pincushion - which I have a feeling is going to take longer than I had hoped...

Everyone's projects are looking really good, and are putting my little ones to shame... Haha...

I hope eveyone is well, xx

I finished one of the fabric storage bags today. I wanted to use the space in two corners of my craft room to store rolls of paper. I did use a pop up laundry bag from the £shop for storage previously. That would not fit in the small space in the corner so I used some IKEa fabric to make two bags. I have lined them with LO curtain lining and interfaced the bottom circle for a firm base. I used a different fabric for the base as I just had 1 metre of fabric.
    Photos in Flickr too.

Id like to join you if you don't mind, this will be extra motivation for me to complete some projects throughout the year. Also I love looking at what other people are making, its quite inspirational to share ideas :)

Above is my first completed project of the year. A hat for a friends new baby boy. I guessed the ear flaps bit so hope it fits!

I'm new to crochet and have so far only made beanie and scarf sets but I'm hoping to improve and move up to making baby clothes etc and who knows what else!

I'm currently making a baby blanket for my niece who's expecting a baby girl in a couple of weeks. I'm actually copying a blanket she's already got that she bought online for £20. This is how far I got but have now unravelled it because it wasn't lined up correctly...

I look forward to seeing all your completed items too. RIP to Soulie who I remember seeing around when I was a lurker

  • I am very proud of myself this weekend, OH is 2-10 shift and instead of mooching around wasting my time on not very much I have gotten on and finished my stockings!! Yay! I have applied to join the flickr group but will also try figure out how to put a pic directly on here when I get on a computer later.

Need to sort 'bits' out before I can get much more done.. apart from the dreaded UFO cross stitches.

  • I am currently working on a crochet scarf. I am new to crochet too so scarfs and then a hat will be my first attempts to actually make something. I really want to learn to do granny squares and make a throw for the house.

0 - Tidy the craft room - if I'm not back by the end of next week send a search party!!!! The room is still clear (ish), although I do need to sort a new desk, as at some point I will be getting rid of the beast of a sewing machine, and would like to have a 'proper' desk for my new one, as the bench goes with the singer...

1- a scarf for my sister - this is filled with dropped stitches (and ones picked up from nowhere!!), but I have never knitted before, and I promised her the first one... currently UFO, and about half finished this is a work in progress, and is still ongoing, although it is slow moving, i'm kind of secretly hoping i'll get it done by the end of the month...

2- a scarf kit that my sil bought for me for Christmas... not started, but I will do as soon as I have finished item 1. hmmmm, well yes.

3- A valentines card for my OH... Anniversary card sorted, valentines card also sorted...

4- an advent calender, I plan to make and decorate pockets in leather as i have masses cluttering up the spare room. for this any ideas or inspiration welcome, as I only have 6 ideas so far, and need 24... WIP - won't be making 24 pockets as I won't have the space to display, have made 5, and will be doing eight in all, and will dangle prezzies between them, in Christmas wrapping...

5- mini Christmas crossstich - this will decorate one of the advent pockets, but I will need some drive to get this done, as it's not my favourite craft... it is however over half done and tiny, so i hold out hopes that it will get done... hahaha finished, and used in the advent calender...

6- make a skirt - I have the pattern, the fabric, and even a new sewing machine... this WILL get done soon. I have never followed a pattern to make an item of clothing, so this is deliberately an easy pattern from 'sewaholic' which will hopefully go well...

7- make a dress - as above really

8- need to make a pouch for my partners fishing knife, which he got for christmas

9- trousres, for which my partner is going to gt me the pattern for my anniversary prezzie... I can't wait. haha

    10- pincushion - made a photographed

11- a bird shaped pincushion - I have started the cutting, but need to get a wriggle on, as it looks like it will be a fiddly one...

12- A new purse - as mine has a dodgy zipper... sorted, and pics uploaded...

Kind of pleased that I got a move on, as I have been so lax recently. Still have some mending to do, and will have to get some uni work done, but this does make me feel rested. Thank you all for keeping me motivated.... And I'm loving the pictures, they are inspirational...
