I can upload to Photobucket and then to the thread but having problems putting on Flickr - help please.
Have you got a Flickr account? You need to create one first - it's free and a similar process to Photobucket. You can then upload photos to your Flickr account. The 14 in 2014 group is invitation only. Once you are accepted as a member you can add photos from your Flickr account. Alternatively I think you can add photos from your pc if that's where you have the photos.
Your card is beautiful0 -
Ok who decided that there were going to be fewer hours per day in 2014 because I missed the memo. It's the only explanation I can think of because my days have just been so hectic both at work and out since the new year started
This week is going to be very busy at work including some travel so I may not be very prompt in updating the members' list so please bear with me.
pigpen your jumper looks so warm and cosy - just what is needed for these cold days
ailsb Your Rock, Paper project looks brilliant. I agree that the individual designs would make wonderful coasters. I've got a project by the same designer on my 2014 list (Don't Panic and Carry a Towel) Love your new avatar - is that your next project?
luckycat love the hottie cover and so :money:
tgroom love the bracelet and thank you for adding the photo to the Flickr group - it will be lovely to look back over the year at all we have achieved and already there is a great variety of crafts
florenceem your card is beautiful
dakota well done on completing your first 2014 project - can you add the photo to our Flickr group? I noticed in your Photostream the same Henry VIII cross stitch that Ailsb has added as her avatar. It's a lovely design
nimbo great work - 2 projects completed already
mrs mp love the scarf - looks even better finished and the colours are gorgeous0 -

I missed the memo too, but I definately think thenumber of hours in a day has been reduced.
Yes my new avatar is what I've started as my next cross stitch project, I need to add it to my 2014 project list. This is a kitthat my Mum had in her stash to do. When my Mum died (8 years ago) I was given all her crafting items - it was a lot!!! Over the years I've tried to finish something of hers that she had started. I only have one item left that she had started that needs finishing, but I don't have the chart for it. I'm now down to doing kits she had. I started this one last night and have finished Henry's leg. The idea is to stitch a person and then do another project before stitching another person. I don't have adeadline so no rush.
I noticed that Dakota had this in her flickr account as well.

MrsMP - love the scarf. I wish I hadn't thrown my oddments away now. Well I didn't throw them away I gave them to the local hospice shop as they crochet oddment blankets so at least some good has come from them.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

finished my scrappy scarf over the weekend
they are really easy and it uses up all the little fiddly ball ends and oddments in your stash. cast on as many stitches as you want your scarf long leaving a tail at each end of the rows and start a new colour on each row. once the scarf is as wide as you want it cast off. i then tied my tails onto knots in groups of about 5 and trimmed them to the length i wanted. pleased with how its turned out and will do another.
Fab scarf, what a great idea!0 -
I forgot to post on here that I have put my first completed project on Flickr - pink pigs!
The forum won't let me add a link but they are easy to spot.0 -
Owlfan - the pigs are cute. Are they knitted or crochet?Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

I would like to join, my list is very small but it important to me as I am tackling my procrastination habit this year!
1. Finish jumper ( my Mum gave me the wool she had for a sweater she never finished...I knitted a scarf last year to practice my knitting..this will be my first big project)
2. Make Christmas birds..I had a kit for this, made one and sent it to a friend two years ago! The rest of the birdies are unmade as I lefit too near to Christmas and then got overwhelmed
3. Christmas thank yous.....My youngest son totally put me to shame, by painting beautiful thank-yous and posting them out straight after Christmas.....so I am adding this one in to give myself a kick in the derrière !0 -
Lilysue - welcome. Don't worry too much about your list. If this thread helps you to finish something you've had hanging around for some time then it's worked. The only thing we ask is - you've guessed it - photos.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
