Owlfan - the pigs are cute. Are they knitted or crochet?

Thanks. They are knitted, I made up the pattern.

Ok who decided that there were going to be fewer hours per day in 2014 because I missed the memo. It's the only explanation I can think of because my days have just been so hectic both at work and out since the new year started :D

I missed the memo too, but I definately think thenumber of hours in a day has been reduced.
im in total agreement about the time in each day being reduced since christmas. i always seem to be running out of it. Especially when it comes to doing the things i WANT to do!

Can't believe we are into double figures for the days of the year already.

I blinked and I miss most weekends -one minute I am stitching Friday night away and then its Sunday night.

I have made a start on my journal cover but not much other stitching been sorting out a few things.

Been thinking of changing my list - maybe a wee cloth shade chart booklet - but will have to see what colours I have to make one.

Well better go and get dinner ready - just wanted to pop by and say HI and I have not forgotten you all. I did post my last picture in 13 in 2013.

Keep well everyone - loving the variety here

I too have noticed the missing hours. However I have made a start on the pockets for my advent calender.

The first has the teddy bear cross stitch in the front (sewn a little wonkily - but we live and learn), and the second has a Christmas tree charm, with some crystals sewn on the front.

I'm trying to make sure I get a good start on these as I start placement tomorrow, so will be working part time, while doing 9 - 5 on placement for the next six months. I miss sleep already, but I want to make sure I get some RnR time, as this for me is fun...

It is only about 8% of the project, but I didn't relish the thought of photographing them all in one go, as well as finishing them off too. They're leather, which means I did sew them on my beast of a sewing machine (a rather vintage looking Singer) not the new one. I have joined the stash busting challenge, and so far I am sewing these from my stash - but I'm not sure if this will get me to the magic 24... (I won't run out of leather at any point).

I have a lovely piece of green organza ribbon, and was thinking of adding it to a pocket, as a bow - but is this Christmassy enough? (And if it is, I have a selection of ribbons I could use)...

I adore that scarf - I know you say it's simple, but at the moment it's way above my skill level, so that's something to aspire to - as I think a jumper may be a bit too hard for the next 12 months or so...

It's lovely to see what everyone has been up to, and it keeps me focusing on something nice, and relaxing.

Hope you all manage to find the missing hours, I know I could do with locating just one or two more a day... haha

  • Hi everybody - I've managed to make one of the things on my list - decorating a bag with die cut flowers. I'll try and add a photo to flickr tomorrow. I've now started on my bunch of fabric flowers. Everybody elses makes look a lot more 'finished' than mine but writing this list has made me more focused! I'm normally more of a starter and less of a finisher so that's good.

Should get quite a bit done this week as DH is on lates, so I get home from work about half past five, quick cup of tea and bit of toast and it's four hours of stitchy time :):):)

I am off work next week so am determined to finish the cardigan for me, I think it only needs button borders and sewing up (the worst bit) Might start a baby cardigan for a friend due in July as can knit in the car.

Project 3 underway.. I didn't touch it yesterday though. We were house-moving my daughter so I was simply too busy and then too tired.
