Welcome (again) Mrs Bones. What an interesting list. Jow sre you hoing to make the wire stags head, do you have a pattern?

No, don't have a pattern, just an idea in my head. Like most things I'm just going to wing it and it will be a case of trial and error. Thought I might have a go at a couple of smaller ones first to try and practice the shape, then they can be tree decorations. :D

If I can manage it I'd then like to tackle an hare, love stags and hares.

That looks lovely, sure the recipient will be over the moon with it. I haven't got either the patience or motivation to knit but I always like knitted items that people make.

Happycrafter - lovely jumper. I really must sew my 3 up that are waiting.

I have finished the Rock, Paper, Scissor, Lizard, Spock cross stitch. My son was really pleased wih it. Will post a photo now. For some reason when using my tablet I find I have to do the picture post separately. Sorry.

its lovely and warm just right for the weather at the moment.

Love the cross stitch, the pictures on the flikr group and this thread are gorgeous you are all a talented and inspiring bunch.

I am really trying to get my head round peyote stitch started it last night and said a lot of naughty words :rotfl: so thought I would try again with a fresh head.
  • Here goes - 2nd attempt to post.

I have finished my first item for 2014, a hot water bottle cover. Made using cheap fleece blanket from A$da and spares in my stash. Hot water bottle was from £shop.

For some reason it won't let me post the images here using Flickr code so will have to post link instead.

Luckycar - your hot water bottle is reallynice. Is it a present? Its reminded me that I have some fleece that I need to do somethig with. Thinking monster gloves, I'm sure I saved the link via Pinterest.

Nimbo - it didn't take too long. Started it mid October but did about 5 other small designs in between. It is actually just 5 smallish designs connected. Think I might see if the designs fit coasters and sew them individually for my Nephews for a gift. So many ideas but so little time.
