Thank you very much.
The shop is amazing and deadly! Well worth going to visit just to see the finished items that are hung on the walls and the baubles from the ceiling.0 -
Can I join please?
I am a lurker on the cross stitch thread but I actually haven't spent much time cross stitching over the last few years so this might inspire me to start some kits I found in the Christmas tidy up:

I didn't craft much at all in 2013 as house renovations took up my time. Well I did chalk paint - 16 items of furniture.
This thread has encouraged me to start crafting again. I always - apart from 2013 - make cards instead of buying so 2014 - going to do that. I have started on Mr F's business Christmas cards. He used to get them printed and spent a lot of money but now I have saved him that expense. I use Christmas cards received in the past - recycle them into new cards. I have 12 Christmas cards nearly finished now.0 -
Thanks for accepting me as a member of the group here and on flickr. The photos of finished projects are brill. Well done!
Bought the Aida for the wedding sampler this morning - better get a move on as wedding in April! Hen do is going to be a crafty getaway! Will this count as one of the fourteen?!!!!:T:rotfl::T:rotfl::T:rotfl::T
If your hen do results in a crafty project completed then of course it counts. Whatever state it is in :rotfl:0 -
Hi I haven't read the full thread yet - but I would love to join the challenge if this is OK. I will pop bck, but i got too excited by page five to finish before posting...
I will request to join the flickr group in a few minutes so I can post photos there...
I have a few things that are UFO's, and a few things that I need to get sorted... I definitely need to bust my stash.
1- a scarf for my sister - this is filled with dropped stitches, but I have never knitted before, and I promised her the first one... currently UFO, and about half finished
2- a scarf kit that my sil bought for me for Christmas... not started, but I will do as soon as I have finished item 1.
3- A valentines card for my OH...
4- an advent calender, I plan to make and decorate pockets in leather as i have masses cluttering up the spare room. for this any ideas or inspiration welcome, as I only have 6 ideas so far, and need 24...
5- mini Christmas crossstich - this will decorate one of the advent pockets, but I will need some drive to get this done, as it's not my favourite craft... it is however over half done and tiny, so i hold out hopes that it will get done... hahaha
6- make a skirt - I have the pattern, the fabric, and even a new sewing machine... this WILL get done soon. I have never followed a pattern to make an item of clothing, so this is deliberately an easy pattern from 'sewaholic' which will hopefully go well...
7- make a dress - as above really

i can't wait to get inspired by the photos, so off to join the group if this is OK?
Also are we allowed to ask advice on this thread? I very often get stuck, and thought there may be lots of collective knowledge, but don't want to offend...
Ask away. No one will be offended or think your questions stupid. We all had to start somewhere and can tell tales like your scarf with the dropped stitches I just wish that YouT had been around when I was struggling with some things I tried as often you need to see how it's done
Great list btw. Maybe share your first 6 ideas for your advent calendar and ask for more ?0 -
lovely photos everyone iv tried to share mine with the group on flickr but cant for some reason????
You're a member of the F group so you should be able to add photos from your F account. Go to the Communities tab and select Groups list which will include this group. Select that and the first page on the top left should have add photos button. You add them from your F account. Hope this helps. I'm not an expert by any means0 -

5- mini Christmas x-stich - this will decorate one of the advent pockets, but I will need some drive to get this done, as it's not my favourite craft... it is however over half done and tiny, so i hold out hopes that it will get finished... hahaha I have finished this today. I have even photographed it, and am trying to get the photos on to my netbook, and then flickr.... Quite impressed TBH - just don't look too closely as I know I messed up a little, and the stitching is no where as neat as others in the photo albums...

1/14 so far, and therefore not too bad...
going to cut out love hearts for my card which is the next thing that needs to be done. I will have to buy some card blanks as well as I thought I had some and can find them nowhere...
IN FACT no, I will be good, and just fold some card in 4 - and then make an envelope - it's only for my fella and if I do it well it will be fine.
