The issue was the u/g cable coming up where it did - the omni box needs to take this feed. However, looking at the cladding, this would probably be unsound to drill into and as you have your own bunch of cables I doubt the ends taller would have thought the matter was going to be contentious.

That said, it'll be interesting to see how they resolve it!

Having seen your picture, I agree with you. I would be steaming angry with that mess on my wall. I would expect it moved soonest and after christmas would not be good enough.
I would make a written complaint to VM and I would expect it to never happen again.
If however it was to happen again I would be charging wall rental space fees. Think of a number, double it and charge it. And in my complaint letter would be detailed when i would be charging I.e hourly, daily weekly.
    63 mortgage payments to go.

    Zero wins 2016 😥

There used to be a smaller box but vm came and cut the wires once which I can only assume it was because of non-payment from a previous customer and the wires were exposed for a long time without the box covering it.
They could have a least put the box more towards to the corner of the house and made it tidier, but I suppose they don't live there and I do.

I thought I was just being silly and getting upset over a few wires (at least that' how next door sees it)
I have even looked around other peoples houses here and no one has vm wires like this. Everyone else has the wires on their own house nice and compact.
I really hope I am not that unlucky and it happens for a third time, if it does I am cutting the lot without any discussion.

It's so untidy, anyone would think they'd done it themselves...You DID see VM come and do it, didn't you?
If you will the end, you must will the means.

I saw the van outside on Friday and I heard the noise of them drilling inside the house (I was working at the back of the house)
Does that count as knowing it was vm?

I guess so. I'm just amazed at the shoddy workmanship. It really isn't like them at all.

  • I have just sent the picture to Joanne Crud who responded to the email I sent to Mark Davidson. I should have sent this with my first email.
Anyway, I plan to get on their nerves just as the wires are getting on mine.

I haven't seen anyone have wires like this before and this might be down to next doors brick work, but they could of a least said let me just check with your neighbour first before I drill anymore holes or even ask my neighbour to check.
I would not dream of doing something like this to anyone.
