Cheeky Virgin Media

Options
I am absolutely fuming with Virgin media
For the 2nd time this year my next door neighbour has had some kind of services from Virgin media and yet again the engineer has attached their box onto my wall
I complained about this at the beginning of the year and it was removed and now it has reappeared on my wall without even asking me yet again for my permission.
I know this must have happened on Friday as I heard lots of drilling but I would have thought that my neighbour would have told them don't but the box on my wall as I will complain about it.
Now next door are not opening the door and I have had to find a number for VM which hasn't been easy due to not having any of their services. I have asked for the manager of the installation team to call me by 11am. If they haven't I am sending an email to Mark Davison and Tom Mockridge.
Otherwise I am sure someone will want to talk to me when all of a sudden their services stop

  • Send your neighbour (or Virgin Media) an invoice for £100 per month wall space rental.

  • I would love to do that, but the neighbours can't even afford their rent and they are now hiding from me and not answering the door. They did post me a Christmas card very late on Friday night so they know I will not be happy.

Just sent an email to Tom Mockridge and Mark Davidson. I don't want it on my wall it looks awful with loads of wires on my house whilst my neighbour has none.

  • Now I know next door are in as they have opened the door to someone and are speaking to him.
How rude to just ignore me like that when I went there twice this morning to speak to them first

  • When you say 'their box' do you mean the box that the outside cable leads up to? Because, in my work previuosley with VM Installs, wherever that box is placed on an exterior wall, the interior cable is adjacent on the inside of that wall. So if what you are saying is true, then the internal cable must be coming into your house?
  • I hope I have done this correctly. Here is a photo, I am really sorry it is so big. My house is the normal brick wall which the box is attached to an the neighbour has the funny cream bricks (sorry I do not know what they are called.

  • Well, that's certainly a mess that I wouldn't be happy with.

  • All of the wires on the side of the wall belong to next door and my wires are on the front of my house along the bottom of my wall. I am with BT.
They moved that box on to next doors wall at the beginning of the year and have now put the box onto my wall without even asking

Yes, I am definitely unhappy about the mess and the fact they now have the TV on very loud and haven't even had the decency to speak to me about it know full well last time I complained about it.

I feel like cutting all the wires on late Christmas eve and just ignore them, when they knock my door. My dad has tried to calm me down about the whole thing, but I feel like being just as selfish as they are.

Regardless of who's wall the box is on, the wiring is a mess - looks like the engineer was drunk. It's not up to VM's standards at all. Send the picture to their Customer Relations people and insist that it's moved. Get legal advice. They'll soon move it.
If you will the end, you must will the means.
