Piggers did you sort out where your children will spend tomorrow?

Noone would give me a straight answer so I made a decision I thought was best for me and the children.. so we did presents today.. they are at KH's later until 4ish tomorrow and here until Friday when it is his weekend.. I thought it best this way for a number of reasons..

    1. the little 3 don't know what day it is so it doesn't matter to them
    2. OH hates Christmas so doesn't care
    3. It saves the children alternating nights here and there.. that's just confusing and disruptive.
    4. It means they are back here in plenty of time for my family coming on Thursday because I'll have had them all night.
    5. and .. next year they stay here and I can say.. bugle off they were at yours last year :p so no arguing there.

The older 3 aren't invited to go it seems.. the text says 'I want to collect the girls at 2pm' (I said no you can have them at 4) though I might change my mind if they don't stop shrieking!!!

Being so horrible.. I need to wrap his gift I forked out for.. it is only school pics of the girls but they aren't cheap and the pics were nice so I thought I'd pretend I was a grown up.. then he started behaving like a !!!!!! again.. typical eh?

I kept a few presents for the littlies back for when OH and I exchange presents tomorrow.. I refuse to have them today.. though I do need to wrap his and I have ulcers from wrapping last night.. one more thing I have developed a reaction to

Everyone seems happy with their very few items.. they mostly got slippers, clothes and smellies.. they made substantial piles with very little in terms of potential clutter given most of them have grown so I have stuff leaving.

Squeak and Dot are oozing green slime this morning.. Dot is being dispatched to chemist to get eye drops shortly.. they are all red and puffy and oozing :( I think the just rubbed snot in them tbh, she is a bit gross.. better out than in eh!?

Now to censor pics/vids and see what I can upload..

Okay so I've been shopping and had a bath so now I need to make a start. The whole house needs doing from top to bottom apart from the bedrooms and all the food preparing before everyone arrives about 5ish.

Anyone fancy joining me for a HHC at 10?

Piggers all seems very sensible and well done for making the decision. From wrapping the boys gifts there is a big theme on socks, boxers, nightware and chocolate so like you hardly any clutter!

Bathroom cleaned bar the floor which I shall do once I've been in the shower. DS2 away playing tennis now so DS3 in DS2's room singing whilst playing on his PS3. WM2 on, WM on the maiden but may put it on the line for a bit once I'm dressed.

Forgot how much the kitchen door leaks so the sodden mat is drying too. New door on he wish list for this year.

    Morning all.

I managed another lie-in this morning. So far today all I've done is had breakfast. :o Going to get a wriggle on now as I need to do some computer based stuff. I'm going to have my bath this morning as I need to wash my hair before I can put the colour on it and DD is watching A Christmas Carol - The Musical which I'm not enjoying it at all. There's an hour or so left on that so by the time I've had a bath, scrubbed my hair, made up both beds etc etc upstairs she can also watch Home Alone 4 which is another one I can't stand ;)

I think I'll get the ironing cleared out the way after that before I do anything else. That'll free up room in the livingroom for me to put the boxes for the gifts. I'll need 3 I think this year as opposed to about 6 last year :rotfl: Much more compact gifts this year ;)

Right, off to juggle money, sort email and have another coffee. Bath, and then start the lists...

Landing sorted and Hoover's including me spending ages taking the Hoover apart as the brushes weren't going round until DH told me there's a button you press on it which turns them on and off!

Now to start on the downstairs as DH is cleaning the bathroom.

Bathroom and shower room clean, Washing not on the line as it started to rain, regretting putting the second wash on now as the maidens are full.

Early lunches here as DS2 needs to be at work at 12 so I'm hoping to get everything done in an hour whilst out and then start cooking etc. Only the kitchen floor and sink left to do but no point until I've finished in the kitchen.

I took 2 parrots when I got home yesterday afternoon but no more after that. I have had my first pain-free night since June 16th :D so definitely a good result - thanks to our wonderful local NHS physios for the great Christmas present :T:T:T

Fabulous news! How on earth have you managed to get so much done while in pain? Respect.

Mrs Dog has been for a quick anti-arthritis-pain-free jab and six monthly checkup, so she's not very happy with me. Library visited and stocks of books borrowed and bought for an orgy of self-indulgent holiday reading while it's closed. And a friend visited who happens to be a dental nurse and has a spare new electric toothbrush, which is what OH wants for Christmas - oh the glamour of our lives.

Bathroom s/and/s'd, bits of crud picked up off the floor and the never-ending tidying has restarted already. The techi bit of the friends' present has been achieved :T and that just needs to be wrapped and I'm done.

For anyone who is interested, Plymouth city centre was beep and creep traffic on all the incoming roads yesterday in all that vile weather, it's now as quiet as 6.00 am Boxing Day, which was fabulous when I was out and about.

Safe journey to everyone who is travelling today and for those whose power has been interrupted, swift fixing vibes.
    Better is good enough.
  • Well my shopping is finished!

Now all I have to do is wrap it!

    And cook......

About to have a breather with a cuppa whilst the steamer descales (oh the joys!)

I am hoping that all the flylady secret santa presents have arrived. If you are still waiting let me know......

My flylady cards haven't arrived, so my room is a little bit bare ( or it will be when I've finished tidying..)

I hope everyone has a lovely day tomorrow... hope you are enjoying yours pigpen...
