Which console PS4 or Xbox One?

So, why should somebody buy a ps4 now if one of its sales points won't emerge until next year?
The same can be said of the Xbox, the television pass-through thingy isn't available right now, plus it would be naive to assume additional features will not be coming out for either console down the line. Microsoft will probably come out with a PS Now equivalent, but just because it is not there right now doesn't mean you shouldn't buy an Xbox. The same applies to the PS4.0 -
What good reason is there to buy either of the new consoles NOW, when the games that are out aren't going away, the main selling points are not even available, and the price is going to drop (it always does)?
Side features like PS now and the ability to control the cable box though kinect are not main selling points.
(Although I admit I have a soft spot for the xbox's Kinect controls for dvds / netflix)
Its games all the way, which I admit is a bit lacking atm but its not like everyone can fork out for every game on the market.
I think Titanfall is going to be the reason to have a xb1, ps4 i'm not so sure atm.0 -

PS$ every single time!0 -
PS$ is right. The most expensive games of any gaming platform, an annual tax, decomposing controllers and network performance to die for. As in, commit suicide. Like patchwork cat says, it's a false economy - over three years, it would work out as being more expensive than a gaming PC. MSE forums are dedicated to financial problems like these - the PS4 is the classic "less money down at the start, far higher cost overall" trick that dupes so many people. Another reason for including financial education in schools.
Although it has given us the hilarious situation where PS4 owners mock Xbone owners for settling for the third-best versions of games, but then make do with near-identical second-best versions of games.Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?
A: It goes without saying that this site's about MoneySaving.
Q: Why are some Board Guides sometimes unpleasant?
A: We very much hope this isn't the case. But if it is, please make sure you report this, as you would any other forum user's posts, to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.0
