Ohhh feel better soon EB :o

    :)

Thank you lovely! I feel a bit better today, though tired as my mind was whirling all night again. I have a sneaky suspicion that my worries are what have me feeling so rubbish. I will bounce back though (I am shapped like a rubber ball atm lol)!! :rotfl:

I like online shopping so much easier to keep on budget and not buy unnecessary things. I cant wait for our building work to finish so that I can go back to that.
(return key not working again :( )
I weighed this morning 11st 7 !! (insert horrified smiley here) Like you I was 10st3 a year ago so on a mission this week to start shifting that. :)

I really do find online shopping so much easier to keep to my budget. Also going to try and write a meal plan this week of low fat, frugal food to use for next week.
I am feeling a bit better today thank you :) as I just said in post above, pretty sure worrying isn't helping with how I'm feeling. That combined with the usual stresses of this time of year. I'm popping down the road now to the post office to try and get some fresh air, hopefully that might help to perk me up a bit. I looked shocking when I braved the mirror this morning  pale, pasty, with huge dark circles. Need a bit of colour in my cheeks.

We can totally do this losing weight malarkey! We just need some will power and determination. I'm starting back at the gym tomorrow after work, so that's a good start, and have a Zumba class on Wednesday. Also just seen a group on fb where a local trainer runs a FREE outdoors exericse class 4 days a week. I can only manage the Thursday evening and Sat morning ones, but that would be a great boost to my diet and fitness plans. At no extra cost! Going to investigate more today hopefully.

Slowly getting motivated. Just made a humungous (sp?) cottage pie for dinner! My appetite is returning, whoop! Then after dinner am going to look at CC's with a view to finding one with a low transfer fee to do the BT. I shouldn't need more than 12 months @ 0%, as by my maths it will be paid off by then.

Hi BB, welcome to my lil ole' diary! Do you diary too? If show point the way and I shall seek yours out :D

Got the Tescos shop arriving between 8-9pm, can already think of quite a few things I didn't buy, so hoping I've got enough to get us through the week! If not might need some taters/oven chips by the weekend. Or I could try to get by on pasta/rice dishes. That would be the MSE thing to do :money:
18 days to payday...:D odd but I'm counting down to payday so that I can pay more off my debts and squirrel my money away! NOT spend it

Might try and post a pic of the behemoth cottage pie when it's ready :rotfl:

Just organised myself ready for tomorrow, and my first day back at work after a week off.

Boiled some eggs going out of date and made egg mayo for sandwiches. Cooked off a part baked small baguette and filled half with egg and salad leaves. Other half will do for wednesdays lunch. Gotta watch my waistline! Will take some fruit with me as well. Lunch sorted, determined not to succumb to the shop this week...no wait this month!

Uniform all ironed and ready, just got to remember my lunch, keys and birthday card + mobile I'm recycling to chuck in the post box tomorrow. Also need to get out money to put in the card too.

Tesco shopping has been delivered @ £45.39, have updated my Grocery Budget in my sig. I'm pleased actually, as I have £100 odd remaining with only 2 weekly shops left in this months budget. So touch wood I should come in under target!! I'm so pleased as I really thought the beginning of the month had stuffed it all up :D

Cottage pie was delish, had with red cabbage, OH had his with peas and a slice of bread n butter. Stuffed now and still enough left for 2 more meals! Photobucket is playing up though, so can't upload picture of it currently, boo!

    Daily Tidbits
    • Spends: £1.10 on birthday card, £45.39 @ Tesco's, 67p milk from PO, I couldn't eek it out enough :o
    • Food: toast for brekky, bbq chicken wrap for lunch, cottage pie & red cabbage for dinner
    • MSE Stuff: kept food shop under £50, put some money in my sealed pot
    • To Do list: finish letter for Uniform Tax Rebate, look + apply for CC for BT, put stuff on ebay @ weekend, complete a meal plan for next week - that is frugal and slimming

I'm oddly glad to be back at work, I like routine, also I'm always rushed off my feet, so I burn lots of calories, plus it's a welcome distraction from being at home focusing on my finances and debts constantly!

Please feel free to use my idea however you like, I'm a list person, so it works for me!

Confession time...I found another food shop receipt for Morrisons in my bag this morning. I have no idea how I had forgot about that one, as it was for £99.57 :eek::eek:, but that explains why I thought I was doing so surprisingly well with my food budget. I was given £40 by my mum and brother towards the costs, as it was the food and drinks for the disasterous NYE party. So I will transfer £40 from my bank account into the joint account where the food money goes, as I have been living off the £40 that was in my purse from them. It means though I am going to go waaay over budget now, so the next 2 weeks shops will have to be super low for damage limitation. The £40 should offset the damage a little bit though. Will have to go and update my bloomin' sig now

Also my hairdryer died last night. I was merrily drying my hair when the power kept dropping and it kept cutting out. In fear of electrocution I have unplugged it and daren't use it! Will see if any friends or family have a spare/old one kicking around I can borrow until I have the money to buy a new one. It's my birthday end of Feb, so if they could lend me one until then I can get OH to buy me one for my birthday!

Why is it that when you think you are doing reasonably well with managing your money and budgeting, something(s) come along to kick you in the teeth?! How very rude!!!!

    Food Diary
Brekky: that famous healthfood...cocopops with ss milk - 175 calories :rotfl:I'm trying to use up foods in the cupboard!!
Lunch: half a part baked baguette filled with egg mayo and salad leaves going for 250 cals. Half a baguette is 180 cals, the rest I'm making up for egg mayo as I have no clue. Would rather overestimate than under.
    Dinner: TBC
Snacks: muller light fat free toffee yoghurt 99 cals, 2 x lindor extra dark chocolate balls 140 calories (these are for if I NEED a chocolate fix, will try not to eat them!!)
Exercise: approx 1 hour @ gym, mix of cardio, weights and stretches/toning etc, 12 minute brisk walk to town centre to catch the bus

    Daily Round up
Spends: withdrew £20 from birthday funds for DB's birthday card
MSE Stuff: still need to sort of CC + BT, still need to finish and post letter for Tax Rebate, keep spending to a minimum
To Do List: finish frugal mealplan for next week, post card and old phone, make a checklist for daily jobs to help keep self organised, figure out whats for dinner tonight

Have a good day all, will be back later to update
