Gulp....I weighed myself this morning...the result is not pretty...I am a pretty hefty 11 stone 2 :eek::eek::eek:
Considering I had got my weight down to 10 stone 6 last year that's a lot of slippage in December!!!! So my new target to lose weight next year is now one and a half stone, so that I lose a stone and make up for what I have put on over December.
I've been thinking of trying a couple of meat free evening meals each week, to help cut down a little bit, heard this is good for you. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Would also save some money, as will only use a bit of meat for OH (who is a complete and utter carnivore and won't entertain this idea at all:rotfl:).
Also made plans last night for a MSE short holiday. Going camping in south Wales for 4 nights at a forest with moutain biking trails. £5 per person per night, so £40 for accomodation. Just need to budget for petrol, food and misc bit of money for other things.
Will sort out budget so can save for it, will be going first weekend in April, so have time to save up for it. Quite looking forward to it, as we haven't had any form of holiday for the last 2 years. Got all our camping stuff, OH has his bike and all its gear and I will be going on the walking trails with my camera whilst he is out biking. Am hoping to pay for all the accomodation/food/petrol myself as a 40th birthday treat for OH.
Box for recycling my old phone arrived today in the post, wow O2 work fast, only applied for it yesterday! Will post it off on Monday.
Need to meal plan and write a shopping list today, to de delivered on Monday. Anyone else find online shopping so much easier for sticking to your list than if you actually go into the shop. Tidied up in kitchen yesterday and had a sort out, freeing up some space. Wondering if it might be worth looking into Approved Foods to do a bit of bulk buying? Anyone with experience of Approved Foods they can share with me?
Right, the kitchen cupboards call!
Daily Tidbits- Spends: will need some milk, and a birthday card for one of my brothers
- Food log: breakfast - bacon sandwich with bit of brown sauce (couldn't finish it
), lunch: use up some Crimble LO's, Dinner: chicken drumsticks cooked in a So Juicy bag (paprika flavour I think), served with LO jacket pots and peas - MSE Things: plan is to apply for new CC to do a BT, and list some bits on ebay (or should I wait to Sunday evening, as heard things sell better if they finish on a Sunday night). Oh, and write/print my Uniform Tax Rebate letter to post on Monday.

I think my weight will be just about the same! I was going to weigh this morning but next thing I knew I was eating a bacon bap (made by OH)

I think ebay it depends what you are selling - I find my horsey stuff sells better if it finishes mid day on week day as horsey people tend to be busy evening and early mornings
Having said that I have still not organised some pics of the stuff I want to list this weekend. 0 -
Wow fabulous on the holiday Eyebright, that is brilliant :money:.
Weight....I could save a fortune on food, if I did not eat it all so quickly. I got weighed last Monday morning, so will update Monday morning.
I like the tidbits.....little to do and goals, might pinch that idea......in fact I will.
4 - 6 month loans
500 payday loan canceled continuous payment, have to wait for it to default to set up a repayment plan

Thanks, really pleased we can get away for a break for not too much money!
And please do pinch my daily tidbits section, I'm hoping it will help to keep me organised. I might also start using it to track exercise from next week, once I'm ready to start it up again!0 -
Hey Eyebright!
Glad to see you are still on track. I confess moving house has got on top of me a bit so Diary keeping has gone out the window!
I think meat free is a great way to go on the ££'s and Lbs it's amazing how substantial a veggie meal can be for much fewer calories.
Sorry to hear you had a rubbish NYE I'd not have been very impressed at all if someone had thrown up like that in my house. In fact I may have had a serious sense of humour failure!
I find bits I list on EBay finish better on a Sunday evening! And a buyer I find it easier to watch and bid too if that helps! Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising
Lloyds loan - gone forever! :T
Bank of Mum and Dad gone forever!
Emergency Fund £1500 :T0 -

MBNA and Barclays do a really long Balance Transfer credit card, 29 months.0 -
Thank you Mull, my current CC is already with MBNA, so have to discount that one, but Barclaycard sounds good, will have to look into that one!
Hi Archer, welcome back! I hadn't realised you were moving house. I moved right before Christmas 2 years, so totally understand the stress of it. All settled in yet? Also thanks for the confirmation regarding ebay. Will list it some bits tomorrow evening.
And yeah. New Years Eve sucked even more than I thought it would. I'm going into hiding/hibernation next year. Or working it. Anything to not have to go through that again. I still get upset thinking about it now

Well to be honest, I've done naff all today towards sorting out my debts. I've felt really ill again today
dunno what's wrong with me, I'm usually fit as a fiddle.
So nothing I've sorted out has made it onto ebay, I haven't applied for a new CC to do a BT onto, and I haven't finished/printed off my uniform tax rebate letter.
Did manage to do my tesco food shop online, being delivered tomorrow and have managed to keep under my usual budget of £50. Came to roughly £45 including delivery I think. I will see what the official total is on the receipt when it's delivered tomorrow. Today and yesterday have been a NSD as didn't feel up to going into town for a birthday card, and we are now shockingly low on milk. I'm going to try and water it down in the morning, so I don't have to go out and buy any. It's on the food shop to be delivered between 8-9pm.
Right nothing else of note to say, I'm going to grab an early night and see if I perk up tomorrow.
Daily Tidbits- Spends: NSD
- Food: breakfast: toast, lunch: noodles, dinner: pasta and meatballs (again couldn't finish)
- MSE Stuff: used a couple of vouchers for tescos, though forgot to use the price promise voucher they sent me from last shop (dammit though only for 41p), nothing else really, didn't feel up to doing the other tasks I set myself

Hope you feel better today.
I like online shopping so much easier to keep on budget and not buy unnecessary things. I cant wait for our building work to finish so that I can go back to that.
(return key not working again
)
I weighed this morning 11st 7 !! (insert horrified smiley here) Like you I was 10st3 a year ago so on a mission this week to start shifting that.
