Oh! I also forgot to mention that I closed my old CC account on Thursday evening. I had transferred the balance back in May, and hadn't used the card since. So rang up and closed that down.

That will now come off my credit file, and will hopefully make my credit rating look a bit better, as I have less access to credit. I think my limit on the old MBNA card was £2500. I think things like this are important for mortgage applications? We only remortgaged ours at the beginning of this year, just before it got super strict, but I'm sure it will do no harm to prepare for when we can next remortgage in 3 years time! By then I will also have cleared my Lloyd's card I BTed the outstanding amount to, and closed that card. Will just keep my Santander 123 card which we use for cashback on the petrol and groceries.

Ohhhhh nooooooooooo! MSE swallowed my post again :(:(

Can't be bothered to type all my waffle again so in bullet point form, here is a summary of what I've been up to! Not sure I can remember half of what I wrote!
    • Spent £1 on raffle tickets in aid of breast care unit @ work
    • £54.21 on weekly grocery shop. Quite a big one this week, as stocking up on some healthy bits and bobs, as we are on a mission to lose weight before Xmas (my target is 1 stone, but minimum of 1/2). We aren't going to have any takeaways between now and then, so should help my budget!
    • Placed an Avon order which will arrive in 2 weeks, £10. Will add to my budget when it comes
    • Have been fighting spendy urges all weekend. Have to close the laptop, sit on my hands and remember why I am here and what I am doing. Seems to be working so far, and I will get presents for Christmas so I won't feel too deprived. Hopefully when my debts have gone down by a chunk I can maybe treat myself to a little something. Going to write a wishlist and then when I can spend will makeself pick ONE thing off of there. One day all of my money will be my own to spend how I choose (and lots and lots of saving of course!)
Think that's about everything. Will update my budgets. Hope everyone else in diaryland is plodding along :)

    Budgets

    Christmas presents: 33.56/322.09 = £288.53 left
    Ebay Postage: £8.40/20 = £11.60 left
    Take-aways: 24/40 = £16 left
    Clothes: 0/30
    Clarkes Village: 0/50

    [strike]Pay SIL £30 owed[/strike]
Pay £25 into Birthday Club @ work - £5/25 paid so far
