Hello
Should really say what has been happening over the last few days.
1.Been trying to find a new mortgage
2. Went bowling and I won, first ever time in my life.:T:T This was very MSE paid with club points and they gave us some free drinks with the change which was nice.
3. Did some batch cooking.
4. Bought hubby some camera stuff with his christmas money.
5. Went and met a few friends for a jewellery group. Very productive as i now have a friend to go to the cinema with to see War Horse instead of hubby who will not enjoy it.
6. Spoke to Hubby about our financial plans and we are now on the same page YIPEEEE.
7. Still have a cold but it is getting there and its back to the gym tomorrow.:A

Hi good day. Took my dinner in to work and then ventured into local town. Saw one of the sanctuary sets in boots at half price but managed to talk myself out of it .
My monthly Massage has been cancelled so that's another ££ saved although I could definitely do with less hairy legs.
On the house front Mortgage broker is working on a deal for us so hopefully it will be very cheap . But I doubt it.
Booked myself and a couple of other ladies into a charity Italian cooking class only £10 each.

Today I stupidly entered a savoury scone contest at work when I have never made scones in my life. Does anyone have a recipe that's easy and more interesting than plain cheese ? Nothing happened on the money front still not spending unnecessarily.:)

That sounds like the sort of thing I'd do:rotfl: how about cheese and chive? Or maybe a blue cheese, or sundried tomato? I've never made scones myself either so can't offer any baking advice. Good luck!Mortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

No scone advice here either but wishing you good luck with that one!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Just got this off the bbc website....
Ingredients- 225g/8oz self raising flour
- pinch of salt
- 55g/2oz butter
- 25g/1oz mature cheddar cheese, grated
- 150ml/5fl oz milk
Preparation method- Heat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- Mix together the flour and salt and rub in the butter.
- Stir in the cheese and then the milk to get a soft dough.
- Turn on to a floured work surface and knead very lightly. Pat out to a round 2cm/¾in thick. Use a 5cm/2in cutter to stamp out rounds and place on the baking sheet. Lightly knead together the rest of the dough and stamp out more scones to use it all up.
- Brush the tops of the scones with a little milk. Bake for 12-15 minutes until well risen and golden. Cool on a wire rack.
ETA: makes 8-12 scones apparently!!Mortgage 12.12.12 £55842 12.12.13 £42716 14.12.14 £28837 13.12.15 £25913
