  • Checked the saving account and it's not as large as we planned. Need to save a bit longer to feel totally comfortable just incase.

Stayed at home today apart for a bit of breakfast out, so very cheap. Cooked Chinese hoisin and garlic pork for tea and raspberry jelly all from the back of the cupboard.:)

  • Today has been a productive cleaning day. Lots of rubbish cleared out. I'm not good at filing paperwork so it's a mammoth job.

Oh is sorting his holiday clothes out including some dodgy golf outfits, I'm not worried as he will have a good time.

Chased the mortgage company and we should have a decision in the next 2 days. I have asked them if I could make overpayments on the current mortgage. They didn't seem overly keen so we will keep plodding on putting the money into the saving account. It's ok, as we are not at our target yet but we are getting there slowly.

  • Well it's been a good day fd have agreed the mortgage we are hopeful it will all go through before the current mortgage provider changes it to another one of there companies.

I have joined slimming world tonight because I'm not getting anywhere on my own. When we got married nearly ten years ago I was 3 stone lighter. so my aim is to get down to wedding weight for our ten year anniversary in Sept.

Anyway not sure what else to say

I know the feeling!!:( I am about two stone heavier now but most of that has gone on in the past two years!!

Far too much alcohol is my main issue....food I can take or leave which doesn't help my metabolism at all....I blame being over forty though...much easier than admitting I drink enough calories to keep a small army happy!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Going to Valencia on Thursday for my birthday on Friday with a friend. It's a couple of days of warmth which is going to be really appreciated.

Got my husband's car insurance renewal through the price was good I wanted to see if I could get a discount further. Used comparison sites and the price still looked good. But tried to call the insurance company to see if they would reduce the price by the amount I had seen on the tcb site. I have done this successfully before. It didn't work this time but it was worth a try

Hi LGP, good news about the mortgage:T

Good luck with slimming world, I've lost 2 stone with them in the past so it does work. I think Thistle whistle might be a slimming world consultant - maybe she could give you a few pointers if you need them?

Enjoy Valencia! I'm very jealous, a few days of warmth sounds wonderful.

  • :heart2:Had some fantastic news today the mortgage is now down to 96,399.31 whoop whoop and the conveyancing is now happening. I currently love fd they are so much nicer than floyds. I won't update my proper signature until the mortgage is transferred as there is likely to be some pesky interest on there.

Had a call today from the phone provider beginning with v,although the poor guy on the phone was trying to sell initially he had no chance :). I got some tips off him for lowering costs.

There are some free aps to find out the cheaper version of 0845 numbers, this can reduce the old 14p per minute calls when you are on hold for at least 3 mins. :D

If you bulk your partners/ spouses phone's together on one contract he said that v would give discount rather than having two separate contracts coming out of the same bank account. Not sure if this works yet though.

Weigh in is tomorrow cross your fingers for me.

Crumpets is not actually that warm there but i am looking forward to it.

  • It's too early and I cannot sleep. So far this morning I have tidied the kitchen, had breakfast and put dinner in the slow cooker.

Sw went well and I lost 3.5lb not bad seeing we were away at the weekend. I am hoping for another 2 next week. My boss and I are in competition with each other. Change that she's not that bothered and I want to weigh less than her.:D

Eyelids are feeling heavy now so will try to sleep
