  • Hi lavinia21, firstly thank you for reading my little diary,it's great you like it. I will try and make it a little more exciting :p so you don't get bored. Series 9 is fantastic and has a good ending but I won't say any more than that. I watch my ga on lovef as it means I can watch it in bed when hubby is asleep with my head phones in lol. Get rather grumpy when it's not on. You do have good friends to let you watch it. :D Who is your favourite ? And have you watched from series 1. I quite like Jackson and Bailey. ALEX has 5 kids in normal life so he must be very busy.

Its Friday Whoop whoop, off to friends tonight back Sunday. We are going to eat before we go and save on take away. Tomorrow will be eating and drinking and playing with the kids.

NSD today hopefully if I can get home without going to the shops.

Tried to cut carbs out of my diet this week and my body really doesn't like it and I have been getting lots of headaches, so it was back on the carbs and now feeling much better.

Sausage, mash and veg tonight for tea before we get in the car for a 2 hour drive. Hoping the roads will be good to us.

Have taken 1k out of the bank account instead of £500 and am crossing my fingers it will be ok. I wouldn't normally do this but roughly in my head all should be well, as the credit card was so low this month. I am an all or nothing kind of person. Have bought loads of food already and there are only cheap weekends comming.

oh my that's a lot of kids. I have watched and loved in from the beginning when I first started watching it, it would make me cry every episode I seem to got that under control now. My favourite was McSteamy but as he is now dead I think Jackson( can you see a running theme here :rotfl:) We have fab friends my husband keeps calling me a tight !!!! as I won't pay that sort of money for sky when we could spend/save on other stuff. I do find a lot of stuff is just repeated a lot on sky etc.

I love your diary I couldn't get bored. I have to watch a lot of my programmes whilst hubby is either out or asleep as he just complains and I won't watch it properly and enjoy it but I have got him into greys over the years so we watch that together.

    Hello all
Lovely weekend with friends and good on the wallet. We went out for a pub dinner and paid £85 quid for 6 which wasn't bad as we nearly all had steak. Florida is now off/ postponed as it is just too expensive for us all to go. New plan is to go to Italy for a week to friends mothers house. We can get there on a cheap airline so the week should cost us £350. My only issue is that I don't really know her mother and we don't want to be seen as !!!!!!!!!!s!!!!!!!!!!s, do we offer money for our stay or not ?
Apart from that no money spent.

  • Hi Lavinia

You are not tight just making best use of the available resources, we don't have sky as I would rather spend money on doing things and getting off the sofa. :D The lady I work with spends £120 a month on sky  I printed the haggle your sky link from Martin but she is unlikely to do anything about it.

Thanks sleepygirl and lavinia for your nice comments xx

  • Hi all
Nearly a spend free day but one of my colleagues is leaving for a different team so I got a jacket potato from the canteen at £2 to cheer myself up. We work so well together but she fancies a change as she has been doing this type of work for rather a few years.

Roast pork and mash for tea with broad beans, watched Andy Bates street food last night and felt very I inspired to cook a yummy tea but got called in to a conference call with the US at the last minute :mad:and got home a 7 so it was more of a throw it together.

Been looking at houses tonight not that I want to move just fancy some decorating tips from posh houses that I can adapt to a small budget. ;) Its the turn of the hall next, we have already bought some paint in dark purple for one small wall and yellow for the rest, just need the accessories to bring it together. Purple was my choice and yellow was hubby's he thinks it goes together but I'm not to sure. Also have bought a few frames in silver and black that I will put pictures in to bring it together. Well that's the plan.

  • £120 on sky is that woman mad. Maybe you could coach her through it, she might be feeling a bit British about it and feels like it's rude to haggle. Were decorating as well currently. Just did kitchen/dining area. Bedrooms and hallway next.

  • I have been bad today and went to the Orange supermarket and bought lunch and a cardi/ t-shirt. The Bill was £35. :eek:Out for lunch tomorrow, will try for a healthy diet option that is cheap.

Lavinia the sky lady doesn't do the bills it's all down to her husband. She has passed the details on to him. I will help her but she doesn't seem that fussed. What colours have you been painting ?

Think I'm going to be able to get away with no food shop this week. :j:j

Spoke to my friend about holiday concerns, she says we could buy the food for the week if we wanted to. feeling much better about it.
