:j. Lost 3lb this week:j
my weight is not what it was when I got married and I am 2 stone heavier, so this year this is an additional target. Have decided that I'm just going to aim for a smaller pair of trousers and then go from there:p.
I can get my head around money and shopping but willpower and food is going to be considerably harder.
Nothing much planned for today chilling, cooking and cleaning.
Might go for a walk later but hubby is in a fowl mood as a bird has exploded on his car. The car is called Boris you can tell how much he loves it as he has even named the Sat nav Doris
Happy Sunday

No money spent today used the random soup including cupboard mushrooms.
Went to the gym and fish pie for tea.
Hubby had to pay £200 for his golf holiday but hopefully that's it. His oldest friend has just called to say did we want to go to Florida in august, in my head I'm saying no but my heart says yes, they have a family and it wouldn't be something we would do as a couple. Hubby is not that interested and is worried about the cost. I don't know what to do

If you can afford it, go, if you would have to borrow, don't! Squirrel logic.....Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Today has been an good day. Credit card bill came in and it's half what it normally is.:j:j:j hubby was even shocked.
Went to a### tonight and used another £5 voucher got home and have made cauliflower cheese soup, roast chicken for sandwiches ,fish pie and meat balls for the freezer. Went £5 over budget though.
Mil has complained to the energy company and we are awaiting a response as it apparently needs to be highlighted to management. What ever that means. I am not going to hold out any hope but she has managed to cancel the service contract which is the main thing.
Bought a sandwich at lunch time from the canteen but that was only £2.50.
Thanks Secret s s. if we continue to keep our spending under control we will be able to afford to go. I agree with you if you cannot afford it you shouldn't go.

Hope the boiler stuff gets sorted (& inexpensively!) soon, your poor inlawsa penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library0 -

Small spending day today £4 in Mr t as hubby only likes one particular brand of marmalade. I went to the cake section and thought better of it and bought some Phil cheese instead to have with bovril on crackers.
Nothing else to report. Going to take £500 from the joint account into a potential over payment pot tonight. Then hopefully in another week I shall be able to see if I can take a bit more. We can only make capital repayment repayments of 1k or more and it all has to be done on the phone.
Just finished Grey's anatomy series 9 does anyone else watch ?
