  • Thanks Watty1 that's great news. I am going to ring them and tell them I want to bring a birthday cake for a joint party so they may put something in extra. Will go to the local restaurant and pick up a card.

Went to Sainsbury this evening and 2 bags of goodies were only 1.87 as I used some of the Nectar points.

Meatballs and pasta for tea, couldn't really get excited over leek soup so that can be lunch for tomorrow. :D

Going to make a fishpie tonight that will last rather a few meals as the container is huge.

  • Well I am over half way and have decided that after the inital pain I am getting into the swing of not spending for me.:p so no spending day again.

There is still a way to go but they say that it takes 30 days to break a habit so we are sticking with it.

I have a Ipod Nano that I wish to link up to my car to stop me buying cd's and the ones I have already copied on to the computer can be sold. Not sure sbout how to get the car and the nano to talk but this can be tackled at the weekend by OH.

Have done a few surveys and looked at selling some of my jewellery books but there doesn't seem to be any demand and a £30 book is going to get me £1.00 ish and they are in nearly new condition. Amaz** looks a better option but does anyone have any experience of this ?

    Happy days

  • Bought a reduced cake tonight for hubby, sliced it and froze it so on Sunday when he make tea and would like cake I am fully prepared and at under a 30p a slice.

This will also stop you doing what I do and "tiding up the sides" so they are level lol

You are doing so well on your no spend challenge:j keep up the good work:T

Your week in London sounds fab, we spent a week there a while ago and there is always so much going on down there, a lot of it free:T Not very MSE but we went to the Harry Potter studio tour which was amazing:D we also had afternoon tea at The Wolseley which wasn't too extortionate if I remember correctly.

About your jewellery books, have you tried webuybooks.com? Might be worth a try if you haven't already.

  • Forgot my lunch today so my colleague and I shared hers and we realised that maybe we could half each others dinner and save money.

Today was ravioli and a slice of bread
Tomorrow is my left over fish pie

Its amazing what you think you need to eat and you can actually eat half and feel full. Having a small packet of raisins or bran flakes at 3oclock to get me over the mid afternoon slump.

Work was good today, managed to clear a lot of my tasks in the inbox. Haven't told my boss though or he will give me more stuff to do. lol

Bonus review in a month, I have told him I don't mind if he takes money from my team mates and gives to me. He thinks I am joking :D

When I got the spreadsheet to allocate salary increases my boss had left my name on it. So I put it all against me and sent it back. He thought I was joking too :rotfl:.

Why do they ask our opinion if they're just going to ignore us smiley-confused005.gif

Another NSD day and went out running tonight, well I say run it
more of a power walk/ run. It made my mouth tingle, does anyone else get this ?

Hubby and I both have tomorrow off so not sure what we are going to do, but it will be cheap and cheerful.
