Hello
Newgirly, you did make me laugh.I might spend it on the slippers but the bonus is 10% of my salary and that's a few pairs.:D
So now the thought is a new lens for OH camera, we have been saving up for it through tcb and we are about £100 short and the rest probably will go on the mortgage. Fingers crossed it gets signed off.
Dentist this afternoon was £45 but apart from that no spending.
Gym tomorrow with cleaning and cooking. Mr LGP's is playing golf all day.:)
Sunday afternoon is a trip to the cinema as I bought 2 tickets through the offer on here. Planning to take my own popcorn or I have a pizza voucher through clubcard points for £20.Mortgage value was £135,000 now £43,218

Hello
Bought a kindle fire today as it was on offer and I had some tcb saved up so was only £73 instead of £200. OH will have to wait a bit longer for his lens.
My laptop is coming to its last legs and needs to be constantly plugged in. It only cost £50 from a friend and I have had a lot of use out of it.
This means I haven't met my target of 30 days but I now don't crave ebay or the sales at the moment so its a really positive step. OH and I have really taken down our spending and are thinking differently. I have decided to extend the target to 60 days so I have 32 days left.

Trying to make mushroom soup with the country mix that was found in the back of the cupboard. its out of date but I am not that worried.
Cinema was good we watched Delivery Man which is a very easy going chick flic. Hubby wasn't looking forward to it but I let him buy some popcorn and a drink as a treat and he was happy after that. I wasn't to pleased by the cost though.
Trying to do a week with no proper food shop so random meals with freezer and cupboard goodies.

On the spending front I never picked up the slippers as I ended up waking in the night thinking about them. How sad is that.

Hello
Yesterday was a nsd I drove to mum and dad and had a lovely dinner cooked for me after work. Then tried to teach my dad how to use a computer arrrgh. Got home at midnight a little bit stressed. they live an hour away.
Today has been work as normal but Ald"" shop was £65 as I bought the inlaws a present for them having us for the weekend. Used the newspaper voucher and I have managed to cut a lot of the joints in half to save money.
Just had a call and inlaws boiler has been condemned by E@@ and have left them with no heating. They are in the 70s and we are all not very happy at them being left in the lurch especially seeing the repair that they have just had done hasn't worked has cost them £200. We offered to go up to take heaters but they are 3 hours away and MIL is having nothing of it.
Its payday today and to celebrate, I am planning to work out the OP oh and I bought a packet of strawberries and raspberries.Mortgage value was £135,000 now £43,218

Well we have been up to the in-laws as there boiler has
Totally died.. We have taken them blankets and heaters and hopefully the independent boiler man will sort it on Monday as fil is going into hospital on Mon and mil on Wednesday. They both seem to be a little more relaxed which is good:j:
The boiler was condemned by e@@ on the initial call out as they just entered into a service contract, to cover repairs on it. Does anyone know if the contract is now not valid ? They have left them so in the lurch that they are worried it's going to be a huge call out fee to get the boiler checked again.
On a positive note brother in law drove there and we haven't spent any money.
And does anyone know about green deal which helps people get boilers through the gov?

Hi LGP.....sending happy thoughts to your poor in laws bless them.
The scheme here in Wales is called NESTA and I'm sure that British Gas and the other big firms run a similar thing for people in receipt of benefits, pensions etc....
They all have workers who go out to visit vulnerable people with large bills to help them reduce them with energy saving freebies etc....it'd be worth ringing to speak to themOriginal mortgage £154,850 (2013)
