Don't think I have posted yet this year but have so far put into the bank £177.79 Just about to make a cup of tea and sit down and catch up with the thread.

I finally got back a deposit that was first sent to the wrong address (thankfully the cheque wasn't cashed in by whoever got it). It's "extra" money because I wasn't sure whether I'd ever get it back so didn't put it in my budget. Now just waiting for the cheque to clear, and that's £300 going straight into my savings!

Got a £200 tax rebate today which was a pleasant surprise; wasn't expecting it at all.

That'll offset the lee Evans tickets I just bought, so my signature is about right still.
    What will your verse be?

Thank you for your kind words. I still have my little dog to care for which is a great comfort. My condolences shiningfaery.

A very up and down week with vet bills, repaid debts etc. Today I was notified that my company pension is going down by several £ a month - will definitely be querying that on Monday .
No food spend this week or next as I'm away in Yorkshire from next Saturday for a week and I have more than enough of everything to see me through. Two weeks @ £17.50p saved and the utility bills of course :). On the other hand I'll be using at least 2 full tanks of petrol and taking my host out for her birthday treat so could be no £different than staying home.
Of course this all depends on it not snowing between now and then!

eta it's not actual money but I booked two flights for June and will get almost £300 worth of nectar points :)
  • Well the £200 I had saved has now been used to book a holiday!! At least I had the money there to do it and its not on a credit card.

I am due a tax refund of £520 so that will go straight into the savings.

Hello all, going to bank £650/700 at the end of this month! I am so sad, I can't wait till my standing order leaves my current a/c to go into my ISA.

    Hi all.

Not actually saved anything yet but have been making plans. Have earnt some vouchers which we will use later in the year so will pay myself cash and put it into the pot then Been trying to bulk by some non perishables and have got some bits to put on flea bay

Have been trying to think of a business and am going to look into how viable it is for me. And then will look into qualifications etc and training

Have done a budget and so far am sticking to it so should in theory be able to get half way to my target by sticking to it

    Good luck all

  • I've just got a new phone contract that will save me £35 a month (yay!) so I'm going to arrange that money to go straight into my ISA each month which will boost the savings!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far.

    Morning all.
My yearly pot matured on the 9th of Jan, so that's another £305.19 added to my total which makes:
    #93 - £4305.19/£12000 = 35.9% :)
