Hi PMO2, glad hubby had a good day at work, sounds like he got out of old place just in time!
I've written down the recipe for the burgers, am deffo gonna have a go at making them soon. Nom! Well done on sticking to the diet today, I've been pretty good today too :cool:0 -
Good news on hubbys new job! Extra cash will help too, you must be pleased!
Ohh I'm on a diet too (must be the time of year lol), always looking for new ideas so those burgers do sound nice.£2 Savers Club 2014 #74 - £4840 -
Good morning,
Had a fairly productive morning so far. Have washed up, done one load of washing and put it in the TD and put a second load on, bleached the bathroom and got some chicken out of the freezer for dinner tonight.
Walked the kids to school and walked the long way back, so feeling a bit energetic today lol
Very pleased with DH and his new job, he keeps telling me little snippets about the company and they really seem on the ball compared to the last one and the one he got made redundant from last year...so all good as far as I'm concerned. He's on site(s) today, meeting the project managers on each one, so that'll keep him busy lol
The burgers were nice last night but could have done with a some black pepper adding to it, just to give it some flavour; so will do that next time.
Dinner tonight will either be cider sausages, mash and veg or fajitas, can't decide!
DD has Brownies tonight, which reminds me I need to pay her subs for the term and her insurance...£50 in total I think but will need to check.
Aiming for a NSD today, can't really afford to spend anything anyway
8 AFD days for me up to today, so pleased with that, sleeping much better too despite going to bed late and not waking up feeling like poo, so guess the cream has its advantages. Going to get drunk very quickly I think when I am eventually able to drink again lol.
Not a lot to report money wise, have checked the bank account and all seems to be ok on that front.
Almost forgot to mention, my mum sent me down a stamp card full for Iceland, so will use that near the end of the month
Off to get ready for work, back later x0 -
Afternoon

I love a little bit of sunshine, makes everything feel like Spring is on its way.
Been to work and done that...god the kids were noisy today!!
Dried washing sorted out, another load in the TD and the last load in the washer
Drying up put away and lunch (Tesco value noodles) eaten, just having a cuppa and a mooch about and then off to get the kids.
Picking up my friends DD and taking her and my DD to Brownies as her mum has hurt her back, so my DD and her DD will be as crazy as ever in the car tonight lol.
Need to swish and swipe the bathroom when I get home with the kids later, will mop it too if I get chance and then may be prepare dinner...decided on fajitas as it'll be easier with Brownies and picking up DH from the station tonight.0 -
I'm worn out reading about your day lol.
Can I ask what AFD days are please?
Many thanks.Debt free by xmas 2014 challenge #114 £230.35/£5840 Roadkill rebel Jan 2014 #79 £0.00 Extra payment a week 2014 £30.14 7/52 50p saver 2014 #?? £14.00 20p saver 2014 #41 £6.80 1% challenge #?? debt 1 1% debt 2 0% Make £50 a month Jan £75.00 Xmas fund 2014 £70.99 Loose change pot £15.45

If I remember correctly AFD= alcohol free days. Well done PMO2 btw, doing really well, and great to hear you sleeping and feeling much better. You will end up like me though, one glass of wine and I'm tipsy :rotfl:
Will remember to add extra black pepper when I make the burgers, thanks for the tip!! You have been very busy today, makes me feel tired thinking about it. Work was manice today, I've had cramp in my legs all evening!
Make the most of the sunshine, apparently a cold snap is coming, and some parts will be getting snow weekend/early next week :eek:0 -
Yippeee!!! It's Friday!!!!
First week back at school for the kids and half week back at work for me....feels like I've done a full week if I'm honest lol
Going to be busy at work today, Fun Fridays always are, such a lot of kids to feed. Hey ho, never mind.
Spoke to my lovely friend last night, he sent me a text to let me know he had to call the doctor out to his wife yesterday. She was in hospital over the weekend with a chest infection and is on some anti-b's that just aren't agreeing with her. I do worry about her, she's 80 and hasn't been the same since she broke her thigh bone a few years ago, my friend will be lost when his soul mate dies
Anyway, checked online banking this morning and all seems normal.
Did a top up shop last night before I took DD to Brownies, so I don't need to go today.
Paid for DD's subs and insurance, was slightly cheaper than I thought...£48.50 as opposed to £50, so quite happy about that, one more bill paid.
Not feeling happy today, this cream is getting me down and I think it is just because I'm forced not to drink and not my choice not to drink. I think its just a phase and will pass, but seriously peed off last night because of it. I do feel better and I am sleeping better and I know we are saving money and I know that it is doing me some good and I know that 'if' the cream works I will then be able to come off it but even so I'm still not happy

Aww, I hope you feel better soon. I get what you mean though. I'd be peed off too.
The weekend often changes my perspective so hopefully you will turn a corner.
It would do me good to have some AFD's too, so you're doing well trust me x£2 Savers Club 2014 #74 - £4840 -
Awww hunny, hugs to you, I know what you mean. It's the taking away of your choice that is getting you down. Fingers crossed it works quickly and you can come off it ASAP.
Sorry to hear about your friends wife. I work in a hospital and this time of year can be quite depressing. The winter months are hard, especially on 80 year olds. Also the loss of mobility from breaking bones can really take it's toll on people. I will be thinking of them.
I'm sure the kiddiwinks coming home from school will soon leaving you with no time to think about anything other than getting them fed and keeping them occupied! Have you got any nice plans for the weekend? Nice to save a bit of money on the Brownie subs, every little really does help.
