Yay! It's January and the start of all things good and debt busting orientated
I hope that everyone had a lovely evening and survived the night x
Had a very boozy weekend, which resulted in a very bad hangover yesterday...must be getting old as it took me until nearly midnight to get rid of it lol
Have checked online banking and just a few payments have come out, no DD's yet, I guess they'll catch up tomorrow.
DH may be out of work come next week, he's waiting on a follow up email from the directors regarding the company.
Still makes me even more determined that this year will be better than the last one.
BRING IT ON!0 -
Happy New Year PMO2 - I had a quiet one - woken up at midnight by fireworks but probably back asleep by ten past lol

I too feel really motivated for this year - hope your DH manages to find something else if the worst does happen x0 -

Happy New Year, PMO2. Hope the hubby hears ASAP about what's happening so he can make plans. Fingers and toes crossed if he does need to find a new job, he does so quickly. Hugs to you.
This year will SO be better than 2013, for all of us. We are the masters of our own ship, and we have finally taken control of the rudder!0 -
Good morning,
All banking checked and spreadsheet duly updated.
Hubby hasn't heard yet about what's happening with the company
there was supposed to be a meeting with the 'Recovery Team' so chances are the administrators will be in today and DH will hear something. Good news though, he has two interviews next week and one of the ex-directors of this company wants to take DH and a few others with him to new company he's starting at, which DH is happy about.
Bad news is that he's likely to loose one weeks pay minimum so we'll have to work around that.
On other news, I started my cream yesterday so am now officially teetotal as I can't drink with it. Wondering if I should put some money aside for every day I don't drink and see how much I would accumulate?
20p and £2 savers clubs have been updated, typical though I've not had another £2 coin since I started the thread lol, have had 20p's though
and Eyebright, you're right hun, thanks

What a shame about losing a weeks pay - just when you are so motivated to get cracking.
I hope the cream gets to work fast so you can have some relief. Liking the idea of potting any booze money

Positive news re: hubby my lovely and getting a new job, shame about losing a weeks pay though. Still, on the positive side, you are in the right frame of mind to do deal with that situation so much better
Hugs for you both from me (I won't use the REALLY creepy smiley though!!!)
Also sorry about the weird ship metaphor last night! :rotfl:
Wow I can't believe a cream means you can't drink, that must be potent stuff  Great idea regarding squirelling away the money you would save btw. Would make a lovely treat for yourself, or help out if hubby does lose a weeks pay in the coming few weeks.0 -
Morning...Yawn!!!
Right, busy day for DH yesterday which resulted in: 3 job interviews and 1 agency interview. One of the job interviews is with ex-directors new company I mentioned the other day...DH is a bit battered and worn out at the moment. On this company side of things, DH has to go to the office on Monday, it is the belief that everyone has been called there to say their goodbyes and hand in laptops/phones etc.
On other things, my alcohol freeness if going good so far, just hope the cream works as I will not be happy otherwise lol. Have racked up 2 AFD's so far. The cream is to treat the Vitiligo that is on my face and alcohol reacts badly to it...not a good look when I go in to work next week with my face puffed up because I had a drink lol.
One thing I'm waiting on is for my energy to increase because I'm not drinking, could do with a pick me up. Have started on muesli in the morning in an effort to get some goodness inside of me.
Tried to check online banking this morning but once I get to page 2 on the security bit, I click continue and it doesn't do anything.
Have restarted MyFitnessPal app on the iPad and once I get back into a normal routine again, I plan to use it to help keep track and hopefully loose some of this weight I've been carrying around with me.0 -
Finally managed to log on to online banking and nothing has happened there, so happy for now

Gosh, your hubby had a busy day yesterday, he must be feeling drained. Fingers crossed all the interviews went well, he is certainly determined.
I find that when I start eating better (more brown bread, more fruit and yoghurt, less caffeine, less crisps and fatty foods), that my energy levels are so much better. I'm also going to up my water intake, def don't drink enough during the day, especially when I'm at work. I'm just about to hit the scales, I'm not looking forward to the results!!!!!
Really hope the cream helps your skin condition hun, and the not drinking is all worth it!0
