  • Woo hooo!!!! Hubby has been paid...in the bank early for a change :D

    Spreadsheet updated and CC's paid.

Will try and make an overpayment on the MBNA card this month, that is if I can keep things under control.

    Morning,

Have checked online banking and checked that the CC payments have gone through.

    MBNA: £11,225.54
    BC: £3298.66

    Total now owed: £14,524.20

If I can make an over payment of £100 this month on top of the monthly payment, that should take the MBNA card under the £11k mark :D

Wohoo I love payday too! :D I'm anxiously waiting for all the DD's to go out Monday, then I will update my spredsheet and totals, Would be fantastic to get the MBNA card sub 11k!

I hate the lull period between getting paid and the DD's going out. I feel like I can breathe a bit easier once I can see the payments have left the bank account and made it to their destinations!
  • Me too. I don't like doing the sums until all the must be paids have gone. I'm not saying that I distrust the banking system but....

Much less spendy day than I've had!!! Bargain with the flowers!

In Need of Direction I totally get what you mean :D
  • Good morning diary,

It's a lovely sunny morning here, DH and DS have gone out with their mountain bikes to Bedgebury; they're meeting up with DH's nephew and will be riding the Red Routes...no doubt covered in mud when they get back. DD and I are still in our pyjamas and just chilling out.

Found out that DH had paid for his rail card on the BC so have had to pay that off, still I guess it looks good to them lol.

Taking DD to Tesco's shortly, we only need a few bits but we're making flapjacks for site (requested :) ) so will be a smallish spend there as most I get for them is Value stuff.

Have decided that I will make more of an effort not to spend during the week unless we need something.

Four weeks until pay day, four weeks to make an impact.

    HI PMO2

You are doing well with the MBNA card - that was my first debt tackled and remember just wishing it would go away.

I too am counting days till payday lol - have a good week :)
  • Well, June didn't quite turn out how I expected it!!

    Bad things:

    CC's creeping up again
    Over spent badly

    Good things:
DS's 10th birthday went well and he liked everything he got
    I got a job
    I quit the school kitchen
I got a job (did I already mention that? lol)

Yes...two weeks ago I got a full time job as a document controller, based on two sites for two jobs in Wimbledon with DH's company :D:D

I was going to do part time for the new company whilst I worked out my notice with the council however through one thing and another I quit the kitchen on Wednesday morning and went full time then and there for new company.

And.....I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!! It's interesting and I'm learning something new every day. The men on site are friendly and don't mind me bugging them with questions about this that and the other lol.

The only slight downside is that the kids are with a child minder but as her kids go to the same school, to them its like going to play at a friends house every day and they like her which is a blessing and sort of resolves my conscious (a bit).

I am now earning more money that I ever have and if we play our cards right and get our act together, we can kick debt's @rse and eventually move house in a few years.

So happy right now but also very tired too!!! House looks a mess too but housework will be there when I'm dead so not beating myself up about it too much.

    ****HAPPY DANCE*****
  • Brilliant news re the job. There will be no stopping your debt clearing now.
