PPCs are famed for refusing 'signed for' mail; they don't want the motorist to have any proof that might be used against them. So I'd save myself a few bob and send with free proof of posting.

    Up to you.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As above, it's presumed delivered within two days, they are quick enough to presume things are posted themselves , so it works both ways.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

It goes without saying that complaints should be made, if you have receipts add to the appeal, and make those complaints

    4) there is no loss to your company, and attached are copies of receipts that proof of being a genuine shopper

this should ALWAYS be done anyway, it even tells you to do this in the NEWBIES sticky thread

its also the quickest and cleanest way to get a ticket cancelled

so step 1) complain to the shops or landowner or both (sob story definitely allowed)

step 2) appeal the parking charge with the PPC (sob story only if you have proof like receipts)

step 3) if the above fail, appeal to POPLA on legal terms (not mitigation , no sob stories here)

If you'd read the sticky threads before even posting a new thread, you would have found all the answers you needed are already here:

    - the 'successful complaints about PPCs' sticky which shows you how you can complain and get these quashed, with loads of examples

    and

    - one of the appeal letters in the NEWBIES thread includes one written to (guess who, UKCPS) where the Equality Act applies. The facts that 'the little lad is autistic & your girlfriend gets high rate DLA' are not excuses, they are reasons to use a bay close to the store. Could have used a really strong letter at this stage - but never mind, at POPLA stage please just read the info already here because 'how to win at POPLA' is already there too.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

I would have thought he may have mentioned it in his first post if that had been the case.
Sorry, but people thinking it is OK to use disabled bays as "I was in a hurry", "the shops were about to shut" etc really irks me.
