whats the deal with paying? ukcps

Ok so I have here a nice letter from ukcps , either way im not paying it but I thought id ask inaway.

basicly its a letter stating my fines now at £100 as I never paid the original fine, the fine was for parking in a bay at b&q carpark at 15.45 on a sunday, b&q shuts in 15 mins!!!!. the bay was a blue badge bay but I didn't notice as I was in a rush to make it into the shop, all the other bays around me was empty and ive been back since and counted around 20 - 25 other blue badge bays so if there were 25 disabled people pull up 15 minutes before b&q shuts there would of still been room for them!

a quick google now shows 2013 isn't the year to no longer be ignoring fines fom the likes of these, do you think ill be taken to court ? I am quite interested in making my self able to attend if they do!

They are not fines! And please pay more attention to where you are parking, disabled bays are for people who need them.

But need a few answers to questions

    1) is this England or Wales ?
    2) are you the registered keeper?
    3) was it a ticket on car or through the post ?
    4) if on the car, are you within 56 days of parking?
    5) if through the post did you get the letter within 14 days?

So who is writing to you now? Is it ukcps or a debt collector? What's the date of the notice to keeper?

So the date of parking is 27/10 and first letter is 29/11 yes ? It appears you are still in time to make an appeal to them, if they reject to go to popla with our help.

It's not wise to ignore ukcps as they do try court in a limited fashion. And you can get this cancelled with a couple of letters/emails, so send this below to them via snail mail with proof of postage from the post office, and via email

    Dear UKCPS

I am as the registered keeper of ( reg) and in receipt of your notice to keeper xxxxx dated xxxxxx, all liability to your company is denied, so as the RK I wish to invoke your appeals process on the following:

    1) This charge is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss
    2) You do not have the authority or permission to give these invoices to motorists
    3) Your signage is inadequate, and does not comply with the BPA Code of Practice

You are therefore invited to cancel this charge now, or supply a popla verification code to appeal to them on rejection, where you will be asked for a detailed breakdown of the above. As you know all appeals on the points above are upheld.

Please confirm cancellation within 35 days of the above date

    Faithfully
    The registered keeper

Put your name and address and date at the top, the date would be 27/11/13 and at the end just print your name, then send it off

Just send it to their address then. And Peter Haswell (ukcps office manager) will be most upset in his porta cabin ( their real address) behind a pub lol. Think he made this website himself :)
