I am feeling a little nervous. At work whilst waiting for excel to calculate or access queries to run I quite often have a browse of MSE, probably not supposed to but if they can't give us decent equipment then do they want me to sit staring into space? Anyway today they have blocked MSE which makes me think they may also have notice how much I have been online so I am wondering what the consequences will be....
Do you have an internet policy?
How much time are you browsing?0 -
It has been an interesting day at work. I have personally met Rapunzel, Thing 1 and the boy in striped pyjamas. I also met a very small person in a very grown up looking camel coat, but I'm not sure who they were supposed to be.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I suspect we are only supposed to use it for non-work stuff during non-core hours.
I might have a browser open a fair bit of the day, the code I run typically takes 2-5 minutes to run which I find not long enough to do anyhting else without losing my chain of thought but then each time I run something (may be on average 4-5 times and hour) I might alt tab into MSE...sounds like I lot when I look at it that way, depends on the day though, other days I am not running slow code and I might only have a look first thing, at lunch and at 4 o'clock...I think....0 -
Dh's evening....fifty fifty coming home at six, ....then since then, has hotel and tickets booked to somewhere to try and help facilitate something tomorrow. ( very annoyed as weather meant to be good)
Busts gut to get to station, overnight back and weekend bag incase he can get home on Sunday when.....as about to step on under ground.....
Deal off.
Sometimes the things are cancelled at the last minute in a GOOD way!0 -
Well after me being so fascinated by the price of the house around the corner, another one has sold for at least 10% more than most recent equivalent a couple of months back. It went on the market and sold pretty much straight away..Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Today has been a pretty good day. No hangover. A friend got a new job. My dad got the all clear
And no school tomorrow! I'm looking forward to spending a fair amount of time in the garden removing weeds in the sunshine this weekend0 -

That sounds fun.
I'm planning a dog poo and wormer filled bedding bonfire. Not as fun, but the results will really be very beneficial :rotfl: Not sure what else.0 -
All gone to pot with the car. I shouldn't have made a claim in the first place
Massive error, but I suppose you live and learn.
Insurance company are writing it off. She needs a couple of new headlamps, a bit of front body, and a new bonnet. All new and official that's around £500 in parts, plus a couple of hundred in labour to fit them. So they're writing it off
However, I can get a used bonnet on ebay for £70 delivered, the bit of trim is £20, and a couple of headlamps are £66 new if you don't go for official parts. I can fit them all myself so labour costs nothing. So I'm retaining the car and sorting it out myself.
I'm concerned that keeping it is an emotional decision (it is partly), but I think by the time I've got a new one and fixed whatever is inevitably going to be wrong with that I may as well have just got mine fixed up. It'll lose value because she now has a category C write off against her name but I was planning on keeping her and running her into the ground anyway.
And I didn't get that job, which is a bit of a shame. Now I haven't got it I don't mind saying it was a graduate job with Virgin Media, so it would've been pretty sweet. But never mind. Sounds like an, erm, interesting combination!
If I'm feeling particularly adventurous I might give my shiny new lawnmower it's inaugural outing, and sow some seeds. We shall see...0 -
