Masomnia, that's a nasty double act of things to deal with. Poor you. Did you get any feed back from the interview/presentation? Was it useful?0

That's a Friday, isn't it? Afraid I'll be working.
.
Certainly is and the day after my birthday, James has treated me to a ticket to go and see McBusted as a birthday present (he is also coming). We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I love this, especially as the pic is so good.
Thanks. Made me smile.Wow, Julius Caesar bears a striking resemblance to you NDG. Are you related to the great one? Very handsome indeed!
That's what I thought too!
Tahlullah, I think NDG will probably delete the photo from her post soon, so she might appreciate it if you don't quote the actual photo in your post either.lostinrates wrote: »Masomnia, that's a nasty double act of things to deal with. What lir said. So sorry to hear it's all being pants ATM. Hope things start looking up soon.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Our doctors has a new policy, you are supposed to tell the receptionist what it is you want to see tyhe doctor about. One of rthe receptionists is a parent of a child in DD2's class. I bet this policy reduces the number of appointments per patient considerably.
Surely that's a breach of patient confidentiality. I've gotta say, I'd be very tempted to say in a very loud voice, "I think I have syphilis".I am feeling a little nervous. At work whilst waiting for excel to calculate or access queries to run I quite often have a browse of MSE, probably not supposed to but if they can't give us decent equipment then do they want me to sit staring into space? Anyway today they have blocked MSE which makes me think they may also have notice how much I have been online so I am wondering what the consequences will be....
There will be no repercussions.
!!!!!! are you doing with Excel that it takes so long? Can you make the coding a bit leaner?0 -

I don't know if you have ever told us about what your degree/msc are in but if it is something numerate you can always apply to us for a job.I think....0 -

Well it was a pleasure meeting all 2'3" of you SpiritPlease stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? And I didn't get that job, which is a bit of a shame. Now I haven't got it I don't mind saying it was a graduate job with Virgin Media, so it would've been pretty sweet. But never mind. I'll find something!
Sorry to hear about the car...My first car that was *all mine* was written off by a s*d who didn't stop  (first we knew was a neighbour hammering on door at about 1am to say cops had been called) but we got it rebuilt and it lasted a LONG time...
Can't remember how long, but maybe 10 years? We were lucky we knew a good small garage that we'd used in the past. Car was parked on road outside the side of our house at the time.
Jobwise I think you had a lucky escape - we're with Virgin Media for all our stuff, and I'm not that happy with them. They're adequate. <roll eyes smiley> And we did manage to get a better deal recently. But basically I'd be happy to lose them but we don't have an aerial on the roof and we don't want a dish (next door just got one right by our bedroom window).
I'm pining for my last ISP who are wonderful. Zen Internet. I still have them at our caravan in Wales, plus they do our telephone there too. So glad to escape BT! :rotfl:
Here's hoping you'll find something soon, and I bet it's 1000 times better than what you just went after. Hugs from Liverpool.0
