Spirit Cyprus sounds like a good place. Always wanted to visit it.

Zag, Italy has so much more culturally, but at this time of year Cyprus is warm and very easy to holiday there for all sorts of lazy reasons. Friendly folk, English spoken almost everywhere and drive on the same side of the road as us.

We will usually rent villas on a resort but as it is just for a few days we are staying in the hotel. OH will play some tennis - there is coaching and I will go to the spa. If OH does have to bail out I am very happy to be there by myself and he is happy for me to go.

We have a favourite taverna a couple of miles from where we are staying and have friends we may see

Our first visit was winter 2011 when we were exhausted after a couple of horrendous years - and it really 'healed' us. We have made it our main holiday for the last three years.

I was in hospital from boxing day as I had pre-eclampsia and then deteriorated. On New Years Eve I was told that I would be induced a few days later. I had no idea that this was because the maternity unit would have fewer staff on over the bank holiday.

However I deteriorated further and needed to be induced on the 3rd. She was born in the small hours of the following morning although she was due a couple of weeks later. For the first few years she had a clear stamp on her forehead from the forceps. We were allowed home on 9th Jan.

Bringing her home was the best day of my life.:)

It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

James looked like an alien for ages afterwards...his head was so elongated from the failed ventouse and then the marks either side from the forceps :rotfl:

We were in hospital for 8 days after his delivery, firstly because they wanted to do additional checks on James due to diabetes but also because I needed a blood transfusion.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

DH and RP want a BBQ. (I would Mohave typed barbecue but the letters were just apt I felt).

We've had a great bonfire and its too windy to spray the bits we wanted to.

Leaves appearing everywhere...on the dog woods now, the tree peony, goji, and the peony shoots are sticking their red shoots out as are the muscari.

I've just had my first meal (well, snack) sat outside :) Washed down with a glass of Waggle Dance.

Now it's time to start removing the next 90L of stuff from the garden...

    Perhaps she isn't actually Canadian.

Hasn't the sun been wonderful. I had to change out of trousers into shorts and a t shirt ( though kept putting my jacket back on, and did have on very warm socks.).

Closing the windows this afternoon is a little sad.....all the ones that open have been!

It's good and bad. It's nice to be in a t-shirt, but the leaves are opening and the birds are nesting, and with the wet weather we had all winter we haven't done anything to the hedges yet... might not be able to do them at all this year.
