Well, dog dog is home and we had a talk about supper and she indicated an interest in 'scrambley eggy', watched me cooking scrambled eggs with mild interest and then......refused to eat them.
. Very sighthoundish.

and blurts out the whole thing.
I remember doozerboy recounting a skit from Facejacker in a pub. It was about a fake hypnotist trying to extract people's PIN numbers. In telling his story he shouted out MY PIN number to pretty much anybody who fancied listening.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

My dog usually loves scrambley eggy but turned her nose up last week when she was poorly. However she was unable to resist when chopped up hot dog sausage was added
When she started to improve but deemed her kibble not up to standard we mixed it up with scrambley eggy, hot dog sausage and cat food. This particular revolting concoction was acceptable.
Dog dog may be feeling under the weather from her op though but it is a worry when they wont eat, especially the oldies and the oldies with low body fat. Hopefully she will be more interested in scrambly eggy tomorrow. It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

She's typically sight houndy, she can go on hunger stroke for a few days then decide to eat. Its very hard not to get caught up in it.
It won't kill her not to eat tonight, She can have scrambled egg in the morning, and if she is still hungry some 'dog porridge'. What she really wants is to sleep, and that seems pretty sensible to me.0 -
Fair enough, after being messed about with and prodded by a vet all day, I'd rather go to sleep than scoff large meals too, I reckon.
OTOH, I've not come across the sort of dog which has a delicate appetite, much. Collies don't need tempting, they bolt anything food-like in sight, sharpish....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Sight hounds aren't really dogs like other dogs at times.
Salukis aren't even considered 'unclean' I believe.
Kiwi ran in the kitchen and wolfedit down. (His terrier showing again) Poor big dog didn't get a look in. She's an eater too though, She goes off her food I worry. Dog dog? She can go some days before I'd start being concerned. Kiwi can be a bit like that too, but much less so.

You have to come up with 40th birthday present ideas that are:
a) a present ie something you wouldn't buy yourself
b) tangible
For clarity the plural of numberplates is because there is one each.
BTW they don't match, because that would be naff.
My number plate was a 40th birthday present too.
How is this for thinking ahead. We bought a new car when regs were M and selected one with specific number and letters. We later put the number plate on retention. When our daughter had her 18th birthday she had a car as her present...with personal plates on it.
The plates are on her current car. Cheap to acquire, meaningless to anyone else. They make her smile.0 -
Did anyone watch last night's Gadget Show? There were two articles in the first half of the programme that made me laugh loads. The second, testing smart phones, made me laugh so much I cried.
Just watched on demand. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
