    Bertha is a delicious name.

Kiwi found what I presume is a mouse hole this evening and is now a very muddy little man. it was his first attempt to dig after vermin in a serious manner.

Bertha reminds me of the children's TV programme. Which my brother and I used to LOVE.

Funnily enough, our favourite episode (think it must have been on one of those compilation videos, or mum had taped it off the TV) was where Bertha was supposed to be making jack-in-a-boxes, but things went a bit wrong, and she ended up making mouse houses.

I think I'm still in shock.

Hardly surprising. You've gone from zero to full on in no time at all. Most of us have at least 6 months of traipsing round houses we don't like/ miss out on and trying to be pleasant to all manner of undesirable EAs to act as a warm up.

When I got the news my offer had been accepted, I went back into the office and everyone thought I'd just had some really bad news because the I had gone quite pale and couldn't get a sentence out for a good couple of mins!

Apparently I looked even worse the night I got the keys :rotfl:

    That's a very beautiful puppy :)

My wife and I love all dogs, but few people :rotfl:
I am not offering advice, at most I describe what I've experienced. My advice is always the same; Talk to a professional face to face.

Debt - None of any type: Bank or any other accounts? - None: Anything in my name? No. Am I being buried in my wife's name... probably

To keep with the theme of pointing out flaws, the Norwegians also appear to be from Jamaica.

I was going to go for saaf London. Innit.

My mother's too! And my Granny's.

Welcome Better Days. Are you Jewish, a scientist, and do you live in Herts?

Thanks for the welcome :) Sorry no, no and I live in Suffolk ;)

Just browsing back a bit chewmylegoff we got a mortgage through FD last year. Was very useful being able to ring up and not have to go through a call centre and FD staff knowledgeable and helpful. The only hiccup was that they decided to 'review' the mortgage offer between exchange and completion. Goodness knows why but did manage to get it sorted in time.

Was on YouGov earlier and they had a survey about which countries should be able to join the EU - including Morocco, Kazakhstan and Israel. I am wondering if Europe has been redefined while I wasn't looking :o

Better days, , Suffolk, round these parts, would be " greater Herts"

Essentially all the nice people live in herts. Even in oz ...aka some thing like

    South herts on sea.

We wonder every once in a hwhile of we have a disproportionate representation of some grouping or other.....herts, Jews/shacked up with Jews or science is one of them. We all either like or dislike mushrooms, ;)

    Ah thanks LIR :o
This thread feels a bit like Dr Who - bigger on the inside than on the outside, parellel universes, alternate realities but not quite so much running around, however I've seen no Dalek's ..... so far :D

...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

I'm running on adrenaline I think.
Solicitors advise they can get surveys done (not just valuation survey). Am I better to go with them or engaging my own?

Will be speaking with broker tomorrow to get that ball rolling.

I want to start packing now...

It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.
