The 'humerous' name ing of cross breeds leads to an interesting phonetic one for this one.
Still, what a dear little muffin of a puppy. Are the collies pleased and proudly parental or .......with Yossie in wondering if its prey?
Dog dog, ( who I thought would hate kiwi because she is so possessive of my attention) took him for her baby from the first. I'm glad she got at least to be an adoptive mother. It was a nice example of being proven wrong.0 -
Well, friend's family have gone now...I might be able to get third hand reports of what its like on the ground.....0

She has been rather poorly recently with an upset tummy. Was very worried as she is nearly 14 and getting frail, but has picked up on anti biotics. Back to the vets this afternoon.
...
We call her the 'henforcer' as she bosses the others around and I suspect she will take a dim view of sudocream on her bottom
Hope the vet is pleased with her progress, Better Days.
"Take a dim view" was one of my mum's phrases, so it brings back fond memories for me. Thanks for making me smile.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Very cute.DD will think so too. If I show her the pic when she gets home from school, I shall probably be deafened by the "awwwww"!

Ahh glad to have cheered your day:D:D
Funny how the oddest of things bring back memories. Do you recall that green fairy soap? The scent always reminds me of my sweet grandmother. Don't have such fond memories of that yellow coal tar soap that my mother used......goodness it didn't half pong.
Vet happy with dogs progress, going to leave it a week then try her on her anti inflammatory meds with half dose and see if she tolerates it.It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Someone mention tea?
I think I'm still in shock. I'm behaving very dizzy, forgetful & whatnot.
Once again I didn't sleep.
It's bizarre, as the behaviour it is creating in me is comparable to how I was when my dad was in a coma.
This is a little better of course...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Macputer has had a fit and lost all my book marks again. I'm not too worried, they came back after a few days last time, but I cannot keep up with news elsewhere. So whatever is going on with chewy...good luck.0

Noteworthy day on weather. Between showers, while sun was out it got quite lovely. Today was first day of the year I went bare foot in the garden, just along the path and planks, (grass far to squelchy) but felt nice to feel free of winter confines.0

Dylan is puzzled, intrigued, and interested. Doglet is getting fed up already with the puppy wanting to play with him. My mother doesn't think she can leave the puppy on her own with him at all, so she's put up the playpen to keep Bertha safe.Hope the vet is pleased with her progress, Better Days.

My mother's too! And my Granny's.
Welcome Better Days. Are you Jewish, a scientist, and do you live in Herts?Very cute.DD will think so too. If I show her the pic when she gets home from school, I shall probably be deafened by the "awwwww"!
SIster #1 has called her Bertha as in Big Bertha, because she's the biggest of the litter. That doesn't, however, make her particularly large.I think some people here have mentioned connections with Lvov which might have been in the Ukraine.
I also remember some sports tournament some time ago where people had travelled from Poland to the Ukraine and thinking "that's a real journey" and then being shocked to find they shared a common border.
It is a real journey - took Becca and me hours to get across the border in the late 1990s!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Bertha is a delicious name.
Kiwi found what I presume is a mouse hole this evening and is now a very muddy little man. it was his first attempt to dig after vermin in a serious manner.0
