Scottish widows was slightly cheaper at 1.79% (0.2% off their normal rate for being an accountant...) but only one offset account allowed so ditched that.
The amount I was borrowing didn't make it worth shelling out £2k in fees - I even got a £500 moneycard for taking out the mortgage! My rate is much higher though (3.39%) and I went for a 5 yr fix as I thought the security was worth the higher rate for me.
Hope all goes well for you too, chewy.0 -

I will head over but my advice is remember that the agent is acting for the seller not for you so any info they give you should be viewed through that 'filter'. My dad always says with house decide what is it worth to you regardless of other interest and then probably work out an 'offer strategy' that allows you to make at least one increase from your initial offer. As said elsewhere you are an ideal buyer.Doozergirl wrote: »If the damage is less than £800 you can settle it by paying directly.
H has done the same. £234 of invisible damage to the other car.
Make sure you don't let the insurance company make it into a claim where you end up paying it all as xs but still lose NCD.Crivvens... look like oil prices might be about to rise.
It's all heating up on the world stage, so I think I'll watch a film to give myself some light relief. *checks the TV guide* Vertigo. That should be a barrel of laughs.
I think it is appalling - the EU used the cover of the winter Olymipics to ferment a coup in Ukraine against the democratically elected govt because the EU didn't like their policies. Post Olympics Russia are now throwing their weight around and of course it is a problem for NATO and the US not the EU - no credit to either side.I think....0 -

Yeah I need to speak to them tomorrow, but I'm going to be crystal clear that I'm willing to pay for all the damage to mine and his if possible and do not want to claim.
His was a Ford Focus, so a scraped bumper and a labour to sort it won't be £800.
The only thing I'm worried about is if he tries to claim for whiplash or the like.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
In theory with FD you can take all your docs into hsbc for them to copy and send off - they only lost mine once when I did this and in fact when I complained they managed to get the branch to find them rather than needing me to go in again.
That's handy - didn't realise that, will definitely do that rather than send them off. OH and I bank with HSBC already - does that make any difference to anything do you know? Do you know if FD will be able to look at my HSBC accounts rather than me having to order copies of my statements? I presume not.0 -

Did you take photos of the damage? I always forget to do things like that...0 -

NopeI'm exactly the same. Wasn't thinking straight at all.

Please God let us not have a war over this. There have been too many young lives lost over the Crimea in the past for people not to have learned that lesson. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Probably not possible; Their airspace is closed, and I think their borders will soon also be closed.
AIUI, there is already war, but it's v. Limited right now...“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
