I'd definitely be going weekday.
How massive is it? If I bought an old woman trolley and just paced myself (which I can do because planning on going alone so not slowing anyone down) .
On a good day on level down I can usually walk all day. Its the right leg that might slow me down, and the traveling before. If I just pace myself though...0 -

I've not been before, but have free MSE tickets this year :money:
I'm dragging along my friend with an interest in garden and interior design on a weekday as I was too slow to get weekend tickets....
If you want I'll pm you the date if you would like to potentially meet up/ avoid us0 -

I'm going to be a bit restricted on dates because of dog care etc. i also have an event here at the end of the month and really should be focusing all energy on that not enjoying myself!
I think my best bet is to see what I can do about a ticket and date stuff. I'll think about this tomorrow.0 -

She makes an exception for gynaecologists, though. She firmly believes that men only become gynae specialists because they dislike women. I remember her turning an interesting shade of purple when we were in Greece and a gynae doctor also on the holiday opined over dinner, "show me a teenage girl who says she has problem periods and I know the real issue; she had a problem mother."
I almost always prefer male doctors though. They are more direct and less wishy washy which is my style. I've never really had a good relationship with a female doctor!0 -

I've (fortunately) not had a great deal to do with either type, but I don't think I've any preference.
OH and I shared a flat with a wonderful women who was a medical student and then a doctor - she lived with us for 6 years in total, and I think she must be a brilliant doctor, not a wish or a wash in her....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

One of dh's aunt is either brain or heart surgeon (I cannot remember tonight which :o) She is so airy fairy washy washy I'd be terrified to let her operate on me. Luckily after a rocky start she and I made a common bond over a shared gardening interest ( she also shows and judges roses and was amazed I knew a rose variety as we wandered down a road in London....funny the odd things that change people's opinion of one...apparently that meant I passed muster after all) . I send her pictures of the roses sometimes and she tells me I've bought the wrong ones, :rotfl:0
