That sounds like a cartoon character name. I'm now imagining a cartoon doctor. Who is also a fairy. And a washerwoman. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Hey, some good news for once! A relative has been called in today for her liver transplant. So, that's fantastic, as she looked really unwell when I saw her in December. She's been on the list for years. She's so dainty that apparently she can manage on half a liver. I have no idea how that works.
So, we celebrate for her, whilst bearing in mind the grief some poor donor's family is suffering. Soand
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Really pleased for your relative GDB. It is sad that for the donor's family, but hopefully they will get some relief knowing what good will come out of it. Chances are your relative won't be the only beneficiary. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? If its the same group of us as were talking in that thread I'm cool to continue by email if any one else is (my hotmail ad)
Any big update is unlikely to be before the weekend anyway.
I need to work out what to do next, as that stuff is fairly general. IE getting an AIP, survey, what insurances I'm going to need etc...chewmylegoff wrote: »It's not just the ISA - we have about a 50% deposit but would only put down what we have to as an official deposit in order to get the best rate - ie 35 or 40% and leave the rest in an offsetting account so we had access to the money if needs be. Would be cheaper to plough all that money into the mortgage but more flexible to have the cash available.
This is my dichotomy.
Across the next 7-8 weeks I have fixed rate savings maturing that'll cover 50% ish (depending on any agreed price if I go ahead). Between june-december there will be another 30k plus maturing for use. I'll still have 40k easy access, & I've accounted for the new car I'm still waiting on.
My preference is to have as small a mortgage as possible, & then as things mature wipe off bigger tranches of the balance.
I'm thinking that if I can get it all paid off asap, I can start squirrelling for improvements, next car etc etc,.It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I managed a few small pieces of chicken. Tiny mouthfuls, well chewed and washed down with water. I have carrot and apple juice made for me by DD. It is not too painful if I can hold my tongue over my left tonsil space to protect it. It tastes superb, thank you for that idea, lir
I've sucked on three pieces of dairy milk. Heaven!
I do think it's generally a bit better this eveningEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
