  • We had a fascinating day - I'd mis-heard OH, and the lecture was at the Natural History Museum, not the Science Museum. It was a sort of hands-on exercise, with dinosaur teeth and bones to handle, to try to work out what bit of a dinosaur they might have been, whether a carnivore or herbivore, that kind of thing.

We also went on a behind-the-scenes tour, instead of the swimming we'd intended, and that was amazing - we saw a giant squid in a tank. They really are absolutely massive, bus-sized. And a row of specimen cabinets marked "C. Darwin Beagle" which was fairly exciting, too.

And they showed how if they want to get the flesh off something to examine the skeleton, they use flesh-eating carrion beetles.

How often do Mr & Mrs Silvercar and two adult sons use this?

My parents have one. It's used equally by me and Isaac, and not really by anyone else. Trampolines (when not pregnant) are fantastic fun!

You need to look on the "other forum" for more info. NDG I know you've got a user id over there, but how about you zag? Do you need a PM to tell you where to look?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

We went to the natural history museum a few Saturdays ago. Had to queue for at least 30 mins to get in - were you just able to walk straight in for this? We couldn't even get into the dinosaur bit as there was another massive queue for that!

Chewy, you know where "elsewhere" is, don't you? I'm losing track.

Thanks for the offer. Been there and had a look around. You've all given him better advice than I could!

Most impressed by the space in the house.

OH had arranged it, so we just sailed straight in. We go there enough to be able to do that (-:

The trampoline is used by the nieces and nephew as a trampoline. They probably come over about once a month in the Summer.

It is used by my adult boys as a sun lounger and as a place to eat take aways and BBQs!

If it had broken it wouldn't have been replaced.

If you like trampolining, (TRAMPOLINE!) then I think you'd love Aeroball. They have it at PGL camps, it's the best fun I've had in ages!
You bounce but have to shoot balls into your opponent's net, like basketball.

They featured it on BBC Breakfast a couple of weeks ago. I seriously considered hiring one for doozerboy's 40th.
