What is stopping you replacing the light switches? Is it somwthign as silly as the wiring doesn't comply with current regs and changing the swiches would require it to be certified and thus rewired?!
The downstairs light circuit (or at least part of it) isn't earthed, so metal switches of any kind are a big no.
The fact that some of the light switches we are replacing were already metal is irrelevant apparently. It is not good practice to have metal switches without earthing the circuit. We also shouldn't have metal lights really, but as we are not actually changing those they will stay, we will just have to remember not to swing from the chandeliers!
Anyway metal electrics are just the current fad, not a big deal.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. What an amazing photo. So beautiful. So awful. Magical yet behind that still ness the awfulness of what goes on outside.
I wonder whether that land we looked at near the M3 is flooded. There are a few properties that really stand out as 'might have beans'. That one was almost perfect .....if it hadn't been for the ruddy motor way!
The other one, for me, was in Sussex.0 -

Nothing wrong with that .... that's all it was, just a sunflower and the top of the stalk .....
Nowt wrong with that.
Well ... it was a black and white original.

Guerkas live on telly (News TV) from Staines, about to use bolt croppers on a gate to erect 700 metres of flood defences along the riverbank. Those temporary ones they put up that are metal at 45 degree angles that go about 4' high.0

I'd get on well with her. I think she'd understand my bridge thing.
Agree with lir. The photo of the crypt is sad but quite beautiful and tranquil. The Gormley statue is poignant and just makes it even more stunning. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? That's not what I was wondering... more like I wonder how often Mr and Mrs silver would swing from the chandeliers until they were told not to.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
