Once white they will stay white; the question is whether I would regret it.
They are too noticeable at the moment, but would white make them look cheap and fake.
We were thinking of replacing light switches and old plug points with trendy chrome ones; electrician says no. Could change the plug points but not the light switches, so they won't match in any case.
Use the right paint.

I can't speak for Miss Spirit, but my own experience of not liking being single is that while other people's overtly happy relationships may sometimes cause a pang, one's own parents' happy relationship is always always a good thing, and never a problem to be reminded of. If you've always done it every year since she was little, it would be weird for her if you didn't, and might even make her worry and wonder what was wrong.

Exactly. A bit like whilst it is lovely to get an annual Valentines card from my mum, there is sometimes a pang that that is the only card I will receive. Nothing more than a pang though, and I am very pleased for all those that I know that are in loving relationships.
Spirit - that you even thought how your DD might feel says a lot for how much you care for her. I'm sure she is very happy that you and Mr Spirit love each other so much and celebrate it by exchanging Valentine's cards.0 -
You could call it Park Street or Bricket Wood!;)
I looked at that space on a map. Not convinced you could fit a town in there. Medium to large village yes, but not a town. I thought it was michaels way of telling us what he thought of the freight depot plans;)Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I think you may be right, I hadn't realised how extensive the Napsbury village development was already...and as you say better to use it for housing than a freight depot that would be better in SloughI think....0 -

What is stopping you replacing the light switches? Is it somwthign as silly as the wiring doesn't comply with current regs and changing the swiches would require it to be certified and thus rewired?!I think....0 -

I think there are two issues... the unpopularity on the rail depot and the need for more housing in Herts. As this is one of the few places you could put more houses without going to the upper reaches of the county near Royston, it's a shame to put the depot there when Herts doesn't need or want it. Which from memory is the same argument as that for the big chimney in Hatfield. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
