Silver, I can't quote your post in mine for some reason, but just wanted to say that your room looks lovely. I don't think the dark beams look out of place because they look like, well, beams and because they are not really fat ones they don't look too imposing. I think they would look nice white too, but they do look fine as they are.

    I like the painting btw.

If the camera was angled downwards you would see the mess!

Frame is an old one from IKEA. Can't remember which cheap shop the pic came from. :rotfl:

Not for me. I don't get greasy hair really, not for ages and ages. I get curl loss or...like now something a stage before itchy. If I left it it would be itchy. , from being rained on and dried out. I think its probably just time to give the old scalp a bit of a rinse and massage. Be cause I don't brush or anything its only when I shower and condition it that happens. Though.....I might actually shampoo this time....I'm going to leave it till tomorrow' do it after the barn.

I've got the horses all to myself , all of them, for a week or ten days soon. I'm so out of habit of doing every thing I'm going to be quite tired, especially as they off the grass in this weather :(.

How many have you got to 'do'?

What I really like is that your picture rail seems really deep. I like that.

    1) You call that a mess?!

2)How old is your house? for some reason I think it is probably 30s? In which case are the beams structural or are they just 'decoration'? I have a strong dislike of interiors that are not in keeping with the age of the building, things like fake beams to look twee or hypermodern kitchens in Victorian cottages. So if I am right about the building age and they are not structural I would be very tempted to get rid.
    I think....

I know this is stupid, but I am going to post it anyway.

OH and I sent each other Valentine cards. I read that some NP do and some don't. We do this every year, generally not gifts just a card with an expression of how we feel about each other.

Today I feel sad that DD does not have 'someone', and a bit odd that our cards are up. She has been mostly single for a while, it is her business not mine...I don't know if she feels sensitive about it.

I did say it was stupid.

yes it is about 3 inches deep, never really know what to do with a deep picture rail.

The house was built in 1937. The bay definitely came a bit later as I have the planning permission for it, stored away in a box that came with the house dating back to when the plot was fields. A builder once said that, though the beams were unlikely to be part of the original build, they may have been added at a later stage to add support and it may not be a good idea to remove them.

According to my kids, who have never put cards up for public viewing, ours don't really count because "obviously" you would get cards for each other and "obviously" you know who they are from.
"Obviously" you have both decided to get or not get cards.

So I wouldn't worry about her feeling left out, because yours don't contain the mystery or potential interest and therefore don't have any value in their world.

Four, so shouldn't be crippling. Various issues inside that number though, one not right in the head , one injured.

( I wrote a long explanation then realised it was impinging on my clients' privacy).

They could do with three sharers for three very different horses pronto though. :(.
