She shares the home with the blighter too.
That dog of theirs.
Too true.
This morning OH went for a run and dog went too (normal routine). This afternoon I walked the dog in the woods.
This evening after dinner OH took the dog out for a walk...dog refused to go. OH had to drag him along, they barely made it past the entrance to the woods, and on turning back dog rushed them home. They were out for less than five minutes and dog only had a quick wee. I expect the little horror will get me up in the night so he can go out, OH never hears him whine or cry or beat up the door at night.
He (the dog) is now lying down by my feet, OH is in a barn playing tennis.0 -

Where is PN? We need background checks and full history
Please look at picture 6 and offer opinion. Would you paint the beams white?
We are redecorating (now that the heating pipes have been channeled etc). The dining room is a about 12 x 16 and has 4 wood beams across it. They may be structural so we are stuck with them. Walls are staying magnolia and there is a dado rail and bay window, so the beams are in keeping with the room, but the furniture is quite modern in light oak. Currently the beams are dark brown, I am tempted to paint them white - but once done there is no return.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I love painted beams. Personally I would only do white in an all white room (or heavily white room, like white and blue stripes).
I would definitely consider loosing dark brown beams though to white paint in many, many many rooms. The beams in our bedroom are painted. (Before we got here). Others aren't. But that's partly because its novelty. The study ones took ages to strip back to a sort of distressed and they look FABULOUS like that IMO. Our cheese room ones may well get a light wash in the same colour as the room I think in a few years.
Its not necessarily true there is no return from painting, They could be sanded or chemical stripped or burnt back. If that makes the decision easier?0 -

Yes.
We had dark fake beams here. It is a cottage with low ceilings and the sitting room is two rooms knocked into one. We had the rsj and the pillar it rested on taken out. A new structural beam was put in above the ceiling. Now we have plain ceiling and a light oak parquet floor (not as nice as yours).
Just reminded me - we were away on holiday - came back and it was not finished but the house was clean and tidy and there was a large bunch of flowers and a note.
One of the builders had had a heart attack on site and had died. The work was abandoned (understandably) and the day we were due back the builders mate and his wife had come round and 'made good' as far as they were able.0 -

Things seem to have got rough in the north of the country overnight. Bugslet? Yorkie? Anyone else up north hope you are ok.....
Windy, and the river has burst its banks (again, but only to the level we get multiple times per year). But fine thanks. Having left my bike at work I had to walk back in this morning; not used to that!Well I've got the results and.........it's exactly what they said before. Probably benign but not sure. I think that the likelihood of benignity(?) might have risen but I dont know really.
Next step is being referred to a specialist. The most likely thing is removal just in case.
I'm pretty relaxed about it for now.I've been told it might be up to several weeks for the next available appointment.
Sorry to hear you don't have a conclusive result, but pleased that you're managing to be relatively relaxed at present. Fingers crossed for a speedy appointment.0 -

So, is that normally the last time your dog goes out? After dinner?
Mine need to go out after eating (3 ish in winter, 4 now, will be later still in summer) then often at 6 they fancy a widdle (not necessary ATM because we are doing birds and horses at abo
It five/half five. Then at 8pm. (That one is a vital one) then again at ten thirty ish or later. Big dog bladder is seven and a half hours maybe eight max but I'm usually up before then, even when I could lie in longer in winter because of the dread of her bladder not making it.
Dog dog would go till ten am given half a chance.
Serious dog envy now0 -

It crossed my mind, but there's quite a few pavements I didn't fancy pushing a bike along, as they have a lot of other pedestrians on them. I did wish I'd done so by about half way home though!!PasturesNew wrote: »As I understand it, the series of "Inside Number 9" is peeking each week into the activities in random houses numbered 9.
All are stand alone episodes.
Therefore, at any moment, any one of them could be the episode that could contain the adult material, therefore they've flagged them all.
It did get a bit adult (violent rather than sex) but I thought it was pretty funny0 -

DD will go out to check on all the bunny rabbits before bed -and the dog always accompanies her up the garden to the yard, so he will have wee then.
It is the more important 'business' that takes place on walks.
With our last two dogs we had them from puppies and trained them to go to the loo in our garden and we would clean up. Then out on walks they rarely carped. This one was rehomed to us when he was five and will not go to the loo in the garden unless he is absolutely desperate or ill.
OH just likes walking the dog anyway...it is their 'me' time, and usually the dog loves him. Not tonight.0
