It's not too bad where I am, weather wise, but decided to leave the bike at work and walk home instead. Now have sore feet and some blisters (boots not made for walking) but at least I was safe. Will wear walking boots to go back in tomorrow morning.
I'd have walked the bike home - gives you choices then. And walk it to work the next morning, again, choices.

Moral dilemma is should I let them know or just accept that some days you get lucky?
I'd say it's not a moral dilemma and the previous item is OK to spend, even though you're getting double bubble.

You usually set out to spot the glitch - and here's on in your lap!

BBC2 now is "Inside Number 9". It appears to a comedy without any speech. Two incompetent criminals are trying to rob Denis Lawson's house, yet the people in the house keep failing to spot them owing to mishaps along the way.

It says there is adult humour in the TV guide, so not sure what that's about but it's quite entertaining so far.
As I understand it, the series of "Inside Number 9" is peeking each week into the activities in random houses numbered 9.

    All are stand alone episodes.

Therefore, at any moment, any one of them could be the episode that could contain the adult material, therefore they've flagged them all.

Phew. Terrible though things are does anyone else not think they are a little over-hyped. Flooding was much worse 7 years ago and the destruction from the storms in 90 and 87 was 100x times worse.....but then until a few years ago the met office did not issue a weather warning every time the weather was anything but mild and slightly overcast (was going to say mild and sunny but of course sunny gets a warning too these days)
That's because, geographically, you've escaped most of the ferocious beatings some areas have had.
This time, for you, there's not a lot happened.....

My parents house is at risk of groundwater flooding, hence my interest. They a d their neighbours have cellars, hence the issue. But most of the time it is no higher than a few inches. Ironically, this is as a result of poor urban planning and lack of drains at the rear of the property, rather than the river opposite the front (not a big one).
After the floods of about 13 years ago I saw some fella interviewed on the telly as he'd "flood-proofed" his house.
His whole ground floor was all wipe down tiles, with a drain in the middle of the floor which could be opened to make the water disappear. All his plugs had been reset to about 4' above floor level. He had other things in place too, but he could flood to about 4' deep then just open the drain point in the floor, the clean/spray it all down until next time

    Quick overview of Bowen:
Roberts House, Siddington, Cirencester GL7 6EX
Price not on LR, probably bought through a company, but it was advertised at £1.3million at the time.

Moved there in April 2007, so peak of market

(also info on other people's homes, e.g Cameron)
